What customers say
Kings Orchard Marina: Peaceful, well-kept site with spacious, serviced spots. Friendly staff, clean facilities, pretty marina. Lovely canal walks to a pub. Some note dated amenities/noise, but tranquility and location for Lichfield/Arboretum are praised. Great for short stays.

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked We were attending a concert at Lichfield Cathedral so the King’s Orchard Marina was ideal. The pitches are well spaced out in an old Damson orchard. Due to a traffic jam on the M5 Motorway we were behind schedule but the staff on reception very kindly phoned to us to check on our progress and new time of arrival.
Top Tip - As only one of the Toilet/Shower rooms is left open 24 hours, pay the deposit for the Toilet/Shower key for access to the range of excellent facilities available.
Disliked The site map wasn’t very accurate so extra signs for the washing up area on the far side of the marina would be ideal.

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Level, fully serviced and spacious pitch. Toilets were clean albeit dated, grounds well maintained. Access to towpath and a pleasant 10/15minute walk to a canalside pub
Disliked Were told toilets would be open 24 hours, but found one locked meaning key for £20 deposit essential Getting a refund meant you could only depart during office hours

The site is good value for money and very convenient for us.
Primitive gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Clean bathrooms and showers
Level pitches, views and quietness
Friendly staff
Inpost lockers on site
Disliked Poor lighting along pathway to bathrooms. The lighting is there but the vast majority are broken off their wooden posts and not working.
Trees and shrubs at the back of the pitches need cutting back as brambles etc noticeably intruding into pitch space

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Tranquil site on side of marina. 15 minutes walk along canal to the pub The Plough. Good place to visit National Memorial Arboretum
Disliked Hard standing pitches made up of sharp stones. The lack of respect for other shower users that some people had( nothing that owners can do)

We’d definitely be back, bit probably booking a fully serviced pitch
Primitive gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Nice quiet pitch, no frills but clean and tidy facilities. Perfect stop over for us travelling North & easy walk to the local pub for great food. Would recommend getting the key for the main toilet blocks and access to the towpath.
Disliked If you don’t book a services pitch, the only water is by reception and non serviced pitches are a long way from the toilets.

Fully serviced level gravel pitch…
FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Fully serviced level gravel pitch
Disliked Overgrown hedges around pitch, and the access, particularly the narrow hump-backed bridge over the canal. The pitches are quite close together, and neighbours chatting and drinking alongside us until 1 o'clock in the morning was upsetting, on a warm night when we needed to leave windows open for ventilation. The dense hedge also reduced the breeze.Give me an open, spacious CL anytime.
