Whether it’s picnics looking out over the marina or lazy mornings walking along the Coventry Canal, there’s plenty of scope for peaceful activities at Kings Orchard Marina in the middle of the Staffordshire countryside. This is a pretty marina location with 20 acres of space, all landscaped and maintained to a high standard, with a marina basin for views and a canal, narrowboat hire and local pub 10 minutes’ walk away. For any keen explorers, the icing on the cake might be that historic Lichfield is 10 minutes’ drive to the west. That means you can explore the medieval city’s 12th-century cathedral, market square and the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum by day before heading back in the evening to use the site’s food prep area to build a barbecue spread on the grills provided. Handily, there's a food shop under five minutes' drive away. The free-to-use barbecues and picnic tables dotted around the site are useful facilities for those quality times. As for features of convenience, Kings Orchard Marina also has toilets, showers, waste disposal and an Elsan unit. With the Staffordshire countryside on all sides, walk to your heart’s content, but don’t forget that real ales, traditional pub fare and a beer garden await at the local dog-friendly country pub alongside the Coventry Canal. This place, 10 minutes’ walk away, is a good spot for those of you who have brought dogs on your holiday.

Ruime, vlakke, goed onderhouden kampeerplekken, vaak met hegjes en aan rustig water bij een jachthaven. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Korte wandeling naar populaire pub. Sommige gasten melden kuilen op toegangsweg en verouderde, maar schone faciliteiten. Beperkt aantal toiletten/douches.

Ik was blij met Level pitches and clean washrooms

Ik was niet blij met Night time walkway lighting fitted but damaged and not working. Long standing fault worsened now getting darker earlier.

Ik was blij met The whole process was good from start to finish. You got there the gates open for you, then up to reception and you were on your pitch within 5 minutes. The information sheet they gave you was very nice as it told you where the local dog friendly pub was (The Plough). It was nice to walk around see the different canal boats.
It was nice to walk out the back gate and walk along the canal to the pub, seeing the different canal boats. The food in the pub was amazing.
The toilets and showers were very clean, I would stay here again.

Ik was niet blij met I wasn't told that I needed a key to get out of the back gate, until I went to reception and asked how I get to the local pub and had to pay a refundable £20 for the back gate key.

The toilets were a bit far away, but that wasn't a problem really.

Ik was blij met The marina was a lovely place. Staff welcome was great and on the second day the lady in the reception was very helpful and friendly.

Ik was niet blij met Walkway lighting to bathrooms still not fixed so bring a torch. Has been like it at least since the start of the summer when we first stayed

Ik was blij met We had a one night stay here booked last minute. Lovely service pitch very spacious. Short walk from pitch to marina to look at the narrow boats. Very quiet to sleep and a good departure time of 11.30am. We will return

Ik was blij met Well maintained and laid out site. Very friendly and helpful check in staff. Nice spacious hardstanding pitches. Lovely walk along the canal. Very good price for the unserviced pitches. Toilets and showers lovely and clean. After being on the road for a couple of weeks and having to press a button for 8 seconds of tepid water, it was a real treat to come here and adjust the water temperature and flow to exactly how you like it. I felt like an adult!! 😁

Ik was niet blij met Limited number of toilets and showers for size of site. Separate toilets and showers would help.

Ik was blij met The site offers a great mix of doing and watching. It was relaxing just watching the boats and enjoyable to walk along the country lanes for a bit of exercise.
We used the toilet block nearest reception which was clean and had everything we needed.
The serviced pitch is a good size and fully met our expectations.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
