What customers say
A no-frills farm site with amazing views and a calm vibe. Guests rave about the helpful owners, super clean facilities, and great value. The sloped field is noted but manageable, with some liking its rustic feel. Perfect for walks and exploring. Fire pits to rent.

Excellent site, would 1000% stay again.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Very spacious pitches, facilities were great just all you need. Hot water for washing up pots, large bag of firewood for £8. People around us were great, everybody really friendly. You can see the cows outside the toilets which was nice. Toilets had spiders and cobwebs but what do you expect it’s outside🤷🏻♀️ personally didn't care. There were showers but didn’t use them, had a look and they seemed absolutely fine would use if we needed to.
The site runners were great, very friendly, the lady and the man were so kind and welcoming. The lady I saw cleaning the toilets in the morning and the man was super lovely. Very welcoming atmosphere, beautiful views. Would definitely camp here again.
During the day we walked 45 mins to the pub but there is a cafe about 10 mins walk away. The pub was next to the tram museum, great pub and nice walk. Very uphill though, great coming back!🤣 with beautiful sunny weather we didn’t care but definitely take water with you if walking far.
No noise at night at all. Good signal, could watch a film on data. We camped next to the stream opposite horses field, beautiful to hear the stream at night. Very relaxing.
We stayed in a tent box, really enjoyed it.
Disliked The grass was a little long but we didn’t care.

Liked A warm welcome and a very peaceful site. And nice to be able to have a campfire (as long as it’s raised).
I enjoyed being able to hear the odd motorbike driving down the valley too however I know that’s not everyone’s taste

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely setting and just the thing I was looking for. Yes it is a field and not the most level, but nothing a coupe of ramps couldn't sort, no frills but perfectly fine. Very friendly owners. Definitely use again.
