What customers say
Peaceful, basic camping with grand views. Spacious pitches, handy for sights, and lovely staff. Basic loos and no running water, but a bargain and for a good cause. A few tips on loo upkeep and clearer directions noted.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The views were amazing, lots of space and privacy. Affordable and fair, felt like we got what we paid for and was perfect for what we planned to do.
Also felt secure.
Disliked I didn’t love the fact that there were no showers but we were prefaced about that on the website so knew what to expect.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful views for £19 and plenty of space for the kids to run about.
Sinks for washing up
Disliked No rainbow sheep as advertised on their website but maybe I missed a post to say they are no longer there.
We had the same issue of following the postcode to end up at entrance that says no entrance to the campsite, but a helpful local directed us (had to go back on the dual carriage way and go back on ourselves which is about an extra 9 minutes.
Toilets - smelly but that’s to be expected for that type of toilet. Toilet roll was covered in poo but that’s down to other people’s behaviour.
A group of men turned up with no tent but they were allowed to pay for a pitch to sleep under the stars. This did make us feel a bit uneasy as we were with our young kids.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful views, peaceful area and an added bonus of farm animals (the alpacas were a hit!)
Went with our two girls (3 and 6) and both made a friend and had plenty of space to play/run around.
Amenities were basic and it was clear on booking little upgrades like soap/washing up liquid would be a bonus.
Loos were portable toilets and basic but as stated - this was also clear in description.
All in all we really liked it and would return again!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The most stunning views from a campsite that we've ever been fortunate enough to see. Can’t express how lucky we felt being able to wake up and see such untouched beauty. So much space for tent pitches, and four clean portaloos with plenty of toilet roll which made all the difference after wild camping for a week! Very convenient having taps and sinks too. Such a friendly greeting from the owner. We will certainly be returning again next year!!
