Un campeggio tranquillo e spartano per un'autentica esperienza wild camping con viste mozzafiato. Libertà di scelta piazzola, staff cordiale e vicinanza a sentieri/pub apprezzati. Servizi essenziali (WC chimici, lavabi) puliti e adeguati per il prezzo. Raccolta fondi per beneficenza.

Mi è piaciuto The most stunning views from a campsite that we've ever been fortunate enough to see. Can’t express how lucky we felt being able to wake up and see such untouched beauty. So much space for tent pitches, and four clean portaloos with plenty of toilet roll which made all the difference after wild camping for a week! Very convenient having taps and sinks too. Such a friendly greeting from the owner. We will certainly be returning again next year!!

Mi è piaciuto Great find for people who don’t want to pay fortunes for fancy campsites. Close to Kendal and Windermere. We got a train and an uber. £11 from Windermere in a uber. Definitely be coming back.

Mi è piaciuto Amazing views, tucked away from the road on a working farm. Very quiet site. Excellent value for money. Has chemical toilets, very clean. Will definitely stay again.
Very friendly staff. Phone signal. 10 min drive from Kendal and shops.

Mi è piaciuto The owner was a brilliant guy & just asked for a peaceful site. The location is perfect, with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and a brilliant place to pitch a tent for a night or 2. Very happy with our stay & will absolutely stay again if in the area!
Non mi è piaciuto The only thing is make sure you take the right road! Put into the satnav the Windemere camping & caravan club and then drive past it.

What is there not to like?
Site is as described. Washing up facilities, no drinking water, portaloos (which were clean) and farm animals on the perimeter.
Had phone signal too which I wasn’t expecting. But wasn’t an issue if I didn’t.
Lovely walks from the site too.
I’d booked 2 nights and wanted to stay for longer - however the weather wasn’t on my side. I’ll 100% be returning!

Mi è piaciuto This campsite was down a lane (my Toyota aygo managed just fine), with four portaloos (always clean, hand san and plenty of toilet paper), and a washing up station (no drinking water but we knew that in advance and brought some bottles with us!) The field had beautiful views and adjacent fields had horses, alpacas and sheep that were very friendly. Lots of birds flying around too - very pretty! It was quiet at night and we slept well. They ask that cars are left in the parking area overnight - but can be used to pick up/drop off things at your tent. You choose your own spot which is lovely. Staff were friendly and approachable.

Mi è piaciuto Great place, just what you expect when it comes to wild camping.
Kids loved seeing the animals all around them and we woke to a beautiful view.
I came with my three kids - 7, 5 and 4 and my dog. Kids had plenty of space to play and not be too close to other campers as to disturb them. Owner came over to greet us and he was very kind and helpful.
Also, I didn't realize that they offer activities at the camp! When my kids are older, we will absolutely be coming with you to ghyll scramble and axe throw!

Mi è piaciuto we stayed here on our first night in the Lakes, and it was a great first campsite! a very beautiful location only a 30minute walk from the train station, so perfect for backpackers. the site was calm and we were able to pitch our tent with a great view over the hills. toilets were very clean and well stocked. great value for money. the alpacas were extremely cute!
