Понравилось We stayed here this past weekend and were lucky enough to have beautiful weather. The setting is stunning, with amazing mountain views, and it’s in a great location for Kendal. Very cute llamas in a pen. It has real potential, and I can imagine it being a much nicer experience outside of peak season.

Не понравилось The campsite felt busy, with more people than the facilities (3 portaloos) seemed able to cope with.

Vehicles with roof boxes are meant to be parked in a designated area of the field, so we chose a pitch there even though it wasn’t the most desirable. As more people arrived, the large majority parked their cars alongside their tents in the rest of the field, where many of the pitches had much better views. I called the owner to check we’d understood the rules correctly, and he confirmed that vehicles with roof boxes did have to use the designated parking area. It was frustrating to follow the rules, only to see so many others ignore them without the rules being enforced.

This also meant cars were spread throughout the campsite, with some people playing loud music from them late into the evening, with lights on full beam.

The toilets were another real let-down. By the morning after our nights stay they were in a terrible state, with toilets left full of faeces, no toilet roll, and even blood on one of the cubicle doors. They were so unpleasant that we ended up leaving earlier than planned so we could use proper facilities elsewhere.

Понравилось We had such a lovely stay at Peacock Farm Wild Camping! The views really are beautiful, there are some great walks in the area both long or short depending what you wish, and having two lovely local pubs nearby was a real bonus. We also really enjoyed the on-site axe throwing, and the animals were so friendly and adorable!

It was so peaceful and although the site was almost fully booked we were not overlooked at all, we had so much of our own space and it still felt private. This was a last min booking for us but it was fantastic value for money. We stayed in our tent box but the pitch was perfect for both a tent and a roof tent. This was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay—we can’t wait to come back!

Понравилось Scenery. Freedom to choose where to pitch tent. "Wild" nature of campsite.

Не понравилось Other campers seemed to think it was acceptable to use loud speakers. No shade.

Понравилось This site was brilliant, clean , not difficult to find. the views spectacular .happy to recommend to all.Andrew Peacock and staff helpful friendly and supplier of the best bacon and sausage .!!! definitely worth A purchase.
A good central position for everything.in the area .

Не понравилось I cannot think of anything to dislike about the site. this is NOT a dislike just a suggestion. that more ports loos may be needed as the season progresses .not everyone is house trained in cleanliness which can be a bit off putting to other campers. staff on the ball and prompt to clean to loos.

Понравилось This is great for wild camping, single night stops and weekends stops.
So peaceful, view are gorgeous and well under priced.
Also you can book on to there activity, programmes, eg axe throwing, paddle boarding, rocking climbing and more.

Не понравилось Just need up dated toilets and need showers. But it is classed as a wild camping area.

You can choose where you want to pitch up
There are 3 portaloos and sinks (no drinking water, washing only) which made it a step up from wildcamping
If you find a good flat spot you can be sheltered from wind and away from other campers

Не понравилось Field isn't very flat so choosing where you want to pitch up isn't as easy as it looks

Having to move the car away from the tent. We only had a small 2-man tent so I was relying on using the car boot for storage but had to shift it to the car park area on the other side of the field

Понравилось Turn up camp wherever you like semi wild camping with a couple of sinks and portaloos which were lovely and clean.
Three Alpacas live on site which dogs found interesting 😀

Понравилось It was lovely had a greet time the views were amazing are dog molly loved it nice people on site the site manager came a couple of times through the day checking everything ok and animals and alpacas were great

Не понравилось Tent let rain in get wet in the night so had to leave but nothing to do with farm

Понравилось We loved the scenery and stripped back camping experience. The portaloos were kept clean, site managed well and friendly staff who popped by on arrival.

Не понравилось Track on the way up to campsite very bumpy and tight. But not the campsite owners faults and the bumpy drive it worth it for the views you are rewarded with.
