What customers say

This large, family-friendly park boasts plenty of activities, especially for kids, like water sports and play areas. Recent investments mean lots of new and improved facilities. Staff are usually friendly and helpful, but some guests noted toilet cleanliness issues, overcrowding, and noise, particularly on busy weekends. Pitch assignments and site organization also got mixed reviews.

Shelduck (area 3) powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked good facilities ,ease if booking , ease of checking into site , plenty of water points and bin stores , had read reviews before booking but as i was there out of school holidays i found it quite quiet, stayed here as its fairly local to santapod as i was between eventd was cheaper than dragging caravan home for 3 nights

Disliked no real dislikes just people not sticking to speed limits

From the manager: We’re really proud of what we’ve built here our facilities are some of the best around, and we’ve put a lot of care into creating activities and an entertainment programme that has something for everyone. You can even book activities through our link before you arrive, which is such a handy way to plan your days and make the most of your stay. Our touring team also do their best to make check-in as smooth as possible, so you can start your holiday just the way you want to.

We’ve added more bins across the park because we want to keep things looking beautiful and protect our wildlife. And you’re absolutely right about speed limits we’re already looking at adding more signage and other ways to make sure everyone sticks to the rules.

Thanks again for taking the time to let us know about your experience. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay, and we’d love to welcome you back again soon.

Shelduck (area 5) powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Thought the activities available were brilliant for children & families. We loved the swimming area & the amusements & the park areas were great.

Disliked -Definitely needs to be more security checks done around the campsite.
-Children on electric scooters / bikes bombing round the campsite saw two small children almost get mowed down these need to be banned like on other campsites we’ve been too.
-Older children riding bikes in the football area next to the venue facilities while children were playing football.
-Staff wise there didn’t seem to be anybody with any authority / management skills a lot seemed like they were temp staff on a school break.
-Pot washing areas weren’t always clean / tidy, same with the showers & toilets

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us we’re so pleased to hear you and your family enjoyed the activities, swimming, amusements, and park areas. We work really hard to provide some of the very best activities and entertainment around, with something for everyone to enjoy, so it’s great to know that made your stay special.

You’re absolutely right about security. With such a large park and lots of holiday guests especially children and young adults it’s really important we keep everyone safe. We’ve already increased our security presence to make sure this is well covered. We do ask that all children are supervised by an adult at all times looking after our guests and our park is in our nature.

I’m sorry to hear you found the toilets, showers, and pot wash areas less than clean at times. Our touring teams are in the blocks from early morning through to late evening to keep them tidy, but it looks like we missed the mark during your stay. Please accept our apologies we’ll be working with the team to make sure standards are where they should be.

Thank you again for your comments. We really do listen, and your feedback helps us improve while making sure families like yours continue to enjoy safe, fun holidays with us.

We hope we’ll get the chance to welcome you back again soon.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your feedback! We’ve worked our socks off to make sure our holiday guests and owners have a jam-packed activities and entertainment programme so we’re thrilled you enjoyed it (our teams are doing a little happy dance right now). In the year we’ve had the park, we’ve already made loads of improvements but make no mistake, we know there’s still more to do, and we’re the first to admit it. It’s in our nature to keep polishing, improving, and making your holidays even better!

Liked Really fun holiday park, lots to do

Disliked Could be cleaner in the toilets / showers. Litter in lake by the venue was also sad to see

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the toilets and showers weren’t up to the standard you expected, and we’ll be addressing this with our team to make sure they’re kept cleaner.

We’ve also provided more bins around the park, and our touring team are encouraging everyone to do the right thing by using them rather than leaving litter on the ground. It’s so important to us to look after our wonderful wildlife and waters, and our team are working hard to keep the park looking its best.

Liked Absolutely nothing. Terrible place

Disliked Work vans everywhere litter everywhere

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: We’re really sad to read your comments, as we truly believe our place is phenomenal with so much to do and see, set in such beautiful surroundings.

At busier times, litter can unfortunately build up quicker than we’d like. To tackle this, we’ve recently purchased and placed extra bins around the park to encourage everyone to do their bit. Our park teams also work hard to get on top of it as quickly as possible, making sure everything is returned to clean and tidy again.

In addition, we do not allow company signage vans on the park, and these will be challenged immediately by our team if seen.

It’s in our nature to care for our park and guests, and we’d love the chance to welcome you back so you can experience it at its best where the focus is on relaxation, fun, and those beautiful views.

Liked Big site, clean facilities. Outdoor entertainment was brilliant only there for an overnight stay but could've done longer

Disliked Pitches were tight to get out (shedluck 3 area) luckily there wasn't anyone opposite us 😬 not well signposted to different areas ended up walking round trying to get back to entrance as exit sign took you miles out of way.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! We’re delighted you enjoyed the outdoor entertainment and found the facilities clean always lovely to hear!

We totally agree with you on the signage front it’s something we know we need to do much better with, and the great news is we’re already working on improving signs all around the park so guests can get where they need to go without taking the “scenic detour.

Hopefully next time you can stay a little longer and enjoy even more of what the park has to offer!

Liked Unfortunately find it hard to say anything I liked about the Park

Disliked We did not get the electric gravel and hardstanding pitch that we had booked a week in advance. Instead we were sent to some overflow area of rough grass. All motor homes in this area seemed very close together. Also a long distance away from facilities, such as toilets and showers.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: We’re very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We acknowledge there was a mix-up with the pitches, and we sincerely apologise for this. Our touring team is working hard to ensure smoother arrivals in the future.

Our park is truly amazing, with an abundance of things to do and see, and the location and surroundings are simply stunning.

It’s in our nature to continually improve and provide the best possible experience for our guests, and we hope to have the chance to welcome you back so you can enjoy everything our park has to offer.

Liked Great location for children

Disliked Pitches become a free for all we were booked next to our family and ended up other side

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

I’m so pleased to hear you enjoyed our great location for children it’s always lovely to know families are making memories here.

I am sorry to hear about your experience on the touring pitches. At this time of year, things can get a little hectic, and I completely understand how frustrating it must have been not to be placed next to your family as booked. We are already looking at ways to ensure a much smoother arrival process for our touring guests moving forward.

It’s in our nature to want every stay to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible, so your comments are really helpful in guiding us to keep improving the experience for all our guests.

Liked Big site lots to do but if you want to go swimming or do activities you must book in advance

Disliked Took several drive arounds to find a space and not in the gild I had booked Very over crowded and a free for all and lots of people were mentioning it there were
Toilet attendance on site toilets were reasonably clean shower cubicle very small were too small bit disappointing that you are not advised to book activities before arrival

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the size of the site and the variety of things to do it’s always great to know our guests make the most of what we offer. You are correct, our park is very large, but that just means there’s so much more to enjoy!

I am sorry that you experienced difficulties with your pitch allocation and that it felt overcrowded. At peak times, the park can be very busy, and we understand how frustrating it can be when pitches don’t match bookings. Our touring team are continually working on ways to make arrivals smoother and ensure everyone is allocated appropriately.

We have worked hard to ensure our entertainment and activities are available for all guests, offering lots of variety so everyone can have fun. Regarding activities, we provide an activities link
to ensure everyone gets a fair chance to book and to maintain safety. You can book up to 2 weeks in advance and plan your visit ahead of time. You can also view the full activity and entertainment programme online via the link.

Our touring teams follow a regular cleaning rota and are available to ensure the shower blocks are clean and ready for all our guests until late in the evening.

Thank you again for your detailed feedback it’s in our nature to take all comments seriously so we can keep improving the park for everyone.
