  • Pet-friendly site on 235 acres of parkland
  • Half an hour's drive from Silverstone
  • Fishing lakes, bars and restaurants
What a whopper of a site. Award-winning activity and fishing centre Billing Aquadrome is a couple of miles from Great Billing in Northamptonshire and set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes. With so much to do around its grounds, it's likely that you'll want to stay put here for your entire trip… and if you do desire to speed off somewhere, Silverstone is only half an hour's drive away. The site is set an aquadrome surrounded by water, so it has fishing lakes of varying sizes and depths where avid anglers can cast off for carp and common mirror carp, catfish, pike, roach, bream, tench and rudd. Bring along your own fishing kit and an up-to-date licence, and buy a fishing ticket from the team if you want to try your luck. Away from the water, the many other facilities include bars and restaurants (yes, plural, plus a beer garden). Just take note that the bar, beer garden and restaurant are all adults-only from 10pm. There is a seasonal swimming pool on site; one swimming session is permitted per day and has to be booked in advance. And speaking of the essentials... there are takeaways, a supermarket and shops right on site too, as well as picnic areas, Sky Sports and – if you need your barnet tamed after all that activity – a hairdresser's.

What customers say

This large, family-friendly spot boasts heaps of kids' activities like water sports and play areas. Facilities are top-notch after recent upgrades. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, but some folks mentioned toilet cleanliness, overcrowding, and noise, especially on busy weekends. Pitch allocation and site organisation got mixed reviews too.

Liked Well equipped site with lots of things to do for the grandkids.

Disliked Very noisy site, pitches are small and too close to each other ie 1 mt between each other.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for the lovely feedback we’re so glad the grandchildren had a blast!
We’ve packed the park full of fun, so there’s never a dull moment (or a bored little face!).

As for the noise yep, we do get a little lively, especially when the excitement kicks in! And those pitches… let’s just say we like to keep things neighbourly! If you’re after a bit more wiggle room next time, let us know and we’ll see what we can do to get you a quieter corner.

Thanks again for visiting we’d love to welcome you back soon!

Liked Entertainment

Disliked first night (out of 7)
2 adults, 3 kids and a dog
2 hours into our stay we went to the entertainment. Between 1-3am got robbed from our awning. They didn't take my partners phone that was on charge or bikes.
£100 40l coolbox and £80 of food in it.
Called security, done the report but we are fuming! Worst is our kids were going back and forth to the caravan from entertainment, and apparently what they (thieves do they check awnings before) , I dare to think what could have happened🙄

We asked around, and it turned out several awnings and campers were robbed too.
Reception is unless, security came but said "it's lots of trees round here we may not see a thing" - useless, report to police done.

Everyone be aware, regardless Billing Aquadrome is advertising that they are 24/7secure campstine they are not!

5 years of camping, never had any problems and now considering to leave knowing there are thieves near us 😭😩

Holiday officially ruined 😥

Update :
We stayed, and are very careful and trying to always have one person in the caravan. So far we heard of 7 others robbed. Total number is unknown. Police report done. And they even came to the site last night. However 3 of our closest neighbours are leaving early because they are scared of the weekend. One man had someone coming in to his awning today-of certain ethnicity - owner asked him to leave,. Then few minutes later he came back with his brother 😳😳and had good look around in their awning even tho owners were there. Owners went to the security hut and the front and informed them that that was out of order and made him and family very uncomfortable, and whish to either move them or the guys who walked in to his awning, security reply :" so far they have done nothing wrong, so we can't do anything 😳😳😳😳"

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear that your recent visit was impacted in this way. Please know that this is absolutely not the kind of experience we want any of our guests to have, and we completely understand how distressing this must have been for you and your family.

We’d like to reassure you that during your stay, we were made aware of an isolated incident on the park, and we took immediate action. The police were involved and are aware of the individuals believed to be responsible. Our team has worked closely with the authorities to support their investigation.

At Meadow Bay, we expect all guests to follow the rules and treat others with respect. We have a zero-tolerance policy for unacceptable behaviour, and our Welcome Teams and Security carry out regular patrols across the park. While we cannot control the behaviour of every individual, please be assured that when issues are reported or witnessed, we take them very seriously and respond swiftly.

We're truly sorry your stay was affected, and we appreciate you raising this with us. Guest safety and peace of mind are extremely important to us, and we are continuing to review and enhance our procedures to ensure all guests feel safe and welcome.

We do hope you come back

Shelduck (area 5) powered concrete slab caravan site

Liked Water based activities are very good. Night time entertainment decent. My little lad loved the train. There is plenty to keep young ones entertained. New washing facilities very clean, the only thing that lets it down is the shower cubicles have no space to store your belongings.

My little lad loved watching the geese and swans going about their day.

Disliked Check in experience non existent. Nobody around to tell you what to do. Appeared to be understaffed around the camping area.

We stayed on a shelduck 5 hard standing pitch. ALL of the pitches were absolutely covered in poo. Some of which was down to the local geese/swans. There was also what appeared to be dog and cat poo everywhere. We had to spend 30 minutes clearing the pitch before setting our awning up.

There are a lot of travellers on the site. I have absolutely no problem with travellers, except for the behaviour of some of the younger ones. There was lots of shouting and swearing. General bad behaviour. At one point I watched 4 lads hanging out of a van ragging it around the site. Staff in the shop were watching on, apparently unbothered, probably too scared to do anything.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for your review and what a joy to hear your little lad loved the train! It’s such a massive hit with guests of all ages, and on a warm day, that little breeze as you ride around is just heaven!

We’re also incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so much natural beauty here from the gaggle of geese and the quacking ducks to the flutter of mini beasts in the wildflowers. There’s something quite magical about simply sitting and watching nature do its thing.

Now... about the poop! Yes, where there are birds, there are, well, little reminders that they’ve been! We like to celebrate their presence rather than see it as a negative though we have asked them nicely to clean up after themselves... unfortunately, they never listen!

That said, you absolutely shouldn’t have had to clean your pitch on arrival, and I’m really sorry about that. We do have a full Touring Team on site who should be available to meet and greet and ensure pitches are ready so we’ll definitely pass this feedback on and make sure it's followed up.

In terms of behaviour on park please know we have a strict zero-tolerance policy when it comes to anti-social behaviour. If anything of concern is observed by our Welcome Team or Security, they will take immediate action. We want Billing to be a safe and enjoyable space for everyone.

It’s great to hear you enjoyed the water activities and evening entertainment and thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. We really do listen, and we’ll continue to improve every step of the way!

Liked How can I put what I liked when items have been stolen

Disliked All service pitch poor maintenance on ground around caravan turned into mud bath with the slightest of rain
Furniture stolen from around caravan
Campers partying until early hours
Security no patrols if so they would have put a stop to it

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.

I’m genuinely sorry to hear about your experience, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns.

We do have both security and welcome teams who walk the park regularly to ensure everyone is safe, respectful, and following park rules. That said, if we are not alerted to an issue at the time, we may unfortunately miss something as I’m sure you can appreciate, our welcome teams cannot be everywhere at once.

I'm also surprised to read about the condition of the pitch, as our service pitches have been developed to avoid becoming overly muddy during light rain. Naturally, with heavier downpours, the ground can become wet, and if guests are not being mindful, this can lead to areas becoming muddier than normal just as it would with any grassed area.

I have not been made aware of any reports of stolen furniture, but I will certainly look into this further. We take concerns like this very seriously.

We want all guests to enjoy their time away while also being considerate of others, and we encourage anyone experiencing disturbances to notify the team so we can address them swiftly.

Thank you again for your comments.
