  • Pet-friendly site on 235 acres of parkland
  • Half an hour's drive from Silverstone
  • Fishing lakes, bars and restaurants
What a whopper of a site. Award-winning activity and fishing centre Billing Aquadrome is a couple of miles from Great Billing in Northamptonshire and set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes. With so much to do around its grounds, it's likely that you'll want to stay put here for your entire trip… and if you do desire to speed off somewhere, Silverstone is only half an hour's drive away. The site is set an aquadrome surrounded by water, so it has fishing lakes of varying sizes and depths where avid anglers can cast off for carp and common mirror carp, catfish, pike, roach, bream, tench and rudd. Bring along your own fishing kit and an up-to-date licence, and buy a fishing ticket from the team if you want to try your luck. Away from the water, the many other facilities include bars and restaurants (yes, plural, plus a beer garden). Just take note that the bar, beer garden and restaurant are all adults-only from 10pm. There is a seasonal swimming pool on site; one swimming session is permitted per day and has to be booked in advance. And speaking of the essentials... there are takeaways, a supermarket and shops right on site too, as well as picnic areas, Sky Sports and – if you need your barnet tamed after all that activity – a hairdresser's.

Liked: Entertainment staff

Disliked: Most of it
You’ll be extremely underwhelmed and disappointed they are over stretched and not nearly enough staff for the site. There are too many things to put them all on here sorry but will not be returning. We are easily pleased but nobody knew what was going on and when or where our pitch was and we paid for a premium pitch and you have to drive to the venue for entertainment it’s too far to walk. Oh and no WiFi and don’t do the activities they are a rip off and no supervision on the water activities I have a video.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations, and we appreciate you highlighting the areas where you feel we could improve.

We’re continuously working to enhance our guest experience, including staffing levels, signage, and activity supervision, and your comments have been shared with the relevant teams for review.

Your feedback will certainly help us as we make further improvements across the park and we do hope to see you again.

Liked: For the amount of people staying the shower blocks where kept to a good standard

Disliked: When we first got there we was directed to anything the right, I stated I had a fully serviced pitch but there were none left and the guy who was showing us in said its first come first served that is not good enough when you paid for something and never got it. Safety concern with children riding bike the wrong way into on coming traffic.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We're really pleased to hear you found the shower blocks maintained to a good standard during your stay.

We’re very sorry to hear about the confusion regarding your pitch on arrival. We understand how frustrating that must have been, especially when you’ve booked a fully serviced pitch. We have now assessed this issue and made improvements to ensure guests are correctly directed to the pitch they’ve booked. Please also note that all our pitches come with electric provided as standard.

Regarding your safety concern, we take guest safety very seriously and are reviewing how we communicate park guidelines, particularly around bike safety and traffic flow, to all visitors.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience—it helps us continue to improve. We hope to welcome you back in the future.

Liked: Lots of facilities for the kids to do and relatively safe.

Disliked: Staff not always that helpful or friendly. Accepts dogs but not really anywhere to walk them. Could do with an information pack that is clearer on how to find things to do on site.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience with our staff wasn't as positive as we would have hoped. We take pride in offering excellent customer service, so your comments will be reviewed with the team for improvement.

We are a pet-friendly park and there are a number of lovely walks to be had with your furry friends. We’re also in the process of improving the information regarding walking and cycling in the area to make it easier for our guests to explore.

We appreciate your suggestion for a clearer information pack and will consider ways to make it easier for guests to find things to do on-site.

Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to welcome you back soon for a better experience.

Liked: our visit was okay. The swimming facilities were decent, but I was disappointed that there were no family changing rooms—only separate male and female ones. This made things a bit awkward for my 11-year-old.

We did visit the Willowlake Aqua Park, which my kids absolutely loved. However, it's worth noting that access to this was not included in the park entry and came at an additional cost.

Disliked: Our holiday was a real mix. The swimming was okay, though it was disappointing that there were no family changing rooms—only male and female ones—which made it awkward for my 11-year-old.

The Willowlake Aqua Park was a highlight, and my kids loved it, but it wasn’t included in the park pass and came at an extra cost, which wasn’t made very clear.

Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was let down by some serious issues. People at the pool table didn’t care that others were waiting, and when I asked if my kids could have a turn, it actually led to a physical altercation. That incident completely ruined our holiday, and we’re still waiting for a response from the park about our complaint.

What was worse is that the security guards didn’t seem to care—adults who appeared to be under the influence were messing around in the kids’ areas, and the guards were either standing around smoking or acting like they were on a power trip, with no idea how to actually manage the situation.

Kids were running around completely unsupervised, and the arcades—while fun—had a lot of broken machines.

If you’re looking for a safe, family-friendly place, sadly, this isn’t it.

Liked: Aqua Park - Bike Access around the site - pump track - Arcades - types of Entertainment (Tick-Tok/BMX etc) - Escape Room - Food was lovely all-round

Disliked: No map for pitch numbers or types - Showers (some cold, bad drainage) - not much for older kids to do - show bar being separate from the entertainment and arcades - all entertainment outdoors

We are so glad you enjoyed the Aqua Park, bike access, pump track, arcades, and entertainment like the TikTok/BMX events, as well as the Escape Room and the food.

Liked: It's not one for us.

Disliked: It's a dirty site. The toilet and shower blocks are dirty. Poo in the toilets. Maybe young kids. Everybody was complaining.
It is very expensive
Everything has to be bought on your bank card. If you go with cash only you will be stuck. To buy anything.

Liked: Size of the grass pitch, close to fresh water, electric. Entertainment on site was good

Disliked: Only one sluice so when leaving had to wait to use it. toilet/shower blocks needed cleaning more often than they was, no shop on site and laundry was priced silly expensive.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback! We're pleased to hear you liked the size of the grass pitch, the proximity to fresh water and electricity, as well as the entertainment on-site.
