Chapmanswell Caravan Park

Μου άρεσε Very clean showers and toilets. I asked for a pitch near to amenities and staff were very helpful.

Δεν μου άρεσε The clubhouse still had music thumping out at 11.30pm on a Sunday night.
A resident dog barked incessantly until early hours sometimes, but I was close to the area.
Shower had hot water one day, not the next. The third day was lukewarm.
Pot wash, no hot water.
Shop wasn’t open at the hours advertised.
I didn’t have time to waste chasing it up as I was only there a few days and managed.

Μου άρεσε As Sub contractors working up and down the country finding a campsite near to where we are working is always handy. Paula and her team were very friendly and welcoming. As self employed guys the cost of digs comes straight out of our pockets so keeping costs minimal is important so being summer we chose to pitch up a couple of tents for 4nights. The facilities were brilliant, hot showers and toilets accessible 24hours a day, a great clubhouse which opened at around 3pm every day (summertime) which gave us a place to have a nice few beers and food at good pub prices and some respite from the heat of the day! (Avg 32degrees this week) a few of the guys we met live on the site and everyone is so friendly and welcoming, even stuck the footie on the TV for me a couple of nights so I didn't miss the games lol.
Being able to charge our phones, connect to WiFi and use our work laptop in the clubhouse is a definite bonus aswell as having pool tables and fruit machines. There is a launderette and shop on site and facilities for sending and receiving parcels, and there is also a room with a microwave, air fryer, kettle, sink and fridge/freezer you can also use aswell. If we are down Launceston way again we will definitely be staying again.

Μου άρεσε A nice quiet site, good size pitches, owners, staff and regular customers extremely welcoming and friendly. Clean toilets and great hot showers.

Δεν μου άρεσε Possibly more evening entertainment, too far to walk to local amenities, although they do have a small shop on site for bread, milk, etc.

Δεν μου άρεσε Arrived and sent to 3 different pitches that we all full, site is very run down and full of seasonal campers who stare at you when you arrive, we turned around and drove back off loosing £132, there was no way I was staying there

We are genuinely sorry to hear that your arrival experience did not meet your expectations and that you decided not to stay with us.


On the day of your arrival, you arrived earlier than the allocated check in time, and due to the high occupancy levels, this caused some confusion with the allocated pitch, as the previous guest was still packing up to leave within the allotted time frame.

Whilst there was some confusion regarding your pitch, we were available to assist and would have welcomed the opportunity to address any concerns you may have had.

Unfortunately, no concerns regarding the condition of the park, your pitch, or the behaviour of other guests were raised with the Management team before your departure. Had these issues been brought to our attention, we would have done our utmost to find a suitable resolution.

Chapmanswell is a mixed park that accommodates, Touring, camping and seasonal owners, many of whom have been part our community for many years, with both touring and camping guests returning year after year to enjoy the park facilities.

We are sorry if you felt uncomfortable with other holiday guests looking at you during your visit, as creating a welcoming environment for all guests is extremely important to us.

We regret that you chose to leave before giving us the opportunity to resolve your concerns and experience the facilities and surroundings that many of our guests return to enjoy year after year.

We do wish you well with your future travels.

Μου άρεσε The owners were fantastic and looked after us all week. The park is clean and well looked after. The clubhouse is fantastic too with a good selection and good prices.

Μου άρεσε Really friendly, easy going site, we especially appreciated being able to choose our pitch to suit our needs.
The facilities were good, clean and had everything needed. Decent showers and the option to use the kettle, toaster, microwave and air fryer was a nice touch.
Location was fairly remote, but central enough to make getting out and about exploring easy.
The clubhouse has a nice, proper old school vibe, food and drink seemed pretty reasonable price wise, the pizza we had was perfect, almost wish we hadn't brought our own catering to have tried more.
The dogs appreciated having the field available for walks and it was nice to stop and chat with others walking their pups too.

Δεν μου άρεσε There were unfortunately a few times during our stay when some older children/teens were screaming and shouting at each other late into the night being a bit disruptive. Naturally not a lot the site owners can do about that, but it was really the only thing to be less than ideal, other than perhaps the scorching weather making tent life a little uncomfortable at times!
