Melin Rhos Caravan Park

Positiv Absolutely loved Melin Rhos. Staff are wonderful very welcoming and helpful. Beautiful site with lovely spotless clean showers and toilets and very well kept pitches. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back. We think we've found a little gem.

Positiv Very quiet site . Nicely laid out as there are 2 different areas for touring so you have a green in front of you . About an 8 minute walk to the beach through the site over the river up through the next door site and turn left down country lane to access Ligwy beach.

Negativ WiFi was awful and you could by WiFi but people said it still wasn’t good. Showers were ok and always clean but had to buy coins £1 for each shower which can be an e or de o top if you have a family of say 4

Positiv An easy walk to the beach and coast path.
Washing up area was clean and freshly painted.

Negativ I found the toilet block (male) to be sub standard for today. Have to buy shower tokens . Think this is a bit mean. Shower and toilet doors had cheap nasty shed bolts. Can be sharp and will have fecal matter on them.
Tiling was old and grout was crumbling. The washing up room next door was lovely so why have they not upgraded the male wash room?
Wouldn’t rush back with so many other campsites available.
Need to buy WiFi as coverage is low. Hit and miss with bought WiFi!
We did have a good time even if I sound a bit grumpy!

Positiv We stayed at this site and had a lovely time.

Wilson (the Warden) was fantastic — really helpful when we wanted to extend our stay by a few nights, went out of his way to sort it for us, and was full of great local knowledge. He made us feel very welcome from the start.

We actually got our booking mixed up and turned up at the site instead of checking in elsewhere first — completely our fault for not reading the email properly! The gentleman on the phone couldn't have been more understanding, and rather than making us drive the 4 miles to him, he just took payment over the phone. Really appreciated that.

The showers were brilliant: 8 minutes of lovely hot, powerful water, and spotlessly clean.

The camping ground itself is flat, well maintained, and peacefully quiet. We especially loved that there were two separate camping areas rather than one big open field — it felt secluded and tucked away in nature, which made the whole stay feel that bit more special.

We'll definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay!

Positiv Quiet. Good location. Nice clean showers.

Negativ WiFi. We paid for a week but phone said it was not safe. Also signal very weak. Also expensive for a week.

Positiv The site including the shower block was very clean . The showers were hot and powerful. A short walk takes you to a lovely beach and beach cafe.
Booking in was easy and contact details supplied. I would highly recommend.

Negativ There was no shop on site so the nearest shops ( co-op , Tesco and Spa ) were a short drive.

Positiv Very nice campsite , toilet/shower block very clean , staff helpful and friendly .
We arrived at the camp and I discovered we hadn’t brought any tent pegs 🤣 , I phoned reception and they asked the warden too drop pegs off , which was very kind of them and appreciated , I would stay there again
