Positiv Loads of space to chose where to camp. Fantastic cafe and animals to interact with. The kids enjoyed the play barn and vehicles. The toilets and showers were fab too!

Negativ The pond/lake could do with some of the surface scum/algae removing?

Positiv Very spacious, very quiet site which was lovely. Having the farm animals was lovely, and facilities very clean and inviting. Beautiful cafe onsite too.

Negativ Not very obvious how to check in after cafe closes but other than that, no issues.

Positiv Great location to stay particularly if you have young children. Spacious level gravel and grass pitches with electric and water easily available. WiFi was also easy to access. Nice view over the small lake and there is a cafe next to the children’s play areas. Staff very pleasant and helpful

Negativ Two private showers ( with toilets)and one separate toilet which in the busy periods I would imagine would get very busy. Hot water was very hot and miss and a matter of luck🥶. Washing up area available but very basic and could do with upgrading.

Positiv Really warm welcome after we decided where to put the van (it was one of the right places). We had booked the fire pit so were given a v generous load of kindling, logs and fire lighters. Great to cook over, with a built in side winding grill.
Very open site, in development still.
Wash area v comfortable.
Great place for small children plus dog on lead friendly.

Negativ You can hear a road nearby, at night, if you are noise sensitive. If you are a city person you’d think it was all silent!

Positiv Staff were excellent, nothing too much trouble, always helpful, friendly and smiling! The play barn was fantastic, my kids were very happy to spend the whole time there if they could have. Lovely spacious pitch too.

Negativ Whilst the showers were really nicely done, there are only 2 so could be a bit of a queue in the morning especially when getting all the kids sorted. Only one sink for washing up and its outside, could do with another one at least.

Positiv A lovely campsite, small enough you had your own space and the contact with the owners felt personal, but a generous sized campsite with a lovely family atmosphere during busy weekends. Perfect for taking little ones away, with plenty to keep them entertained, including seeing the animals and playing in the play barn. The cafe was also a welcomed escape during heavy rain, with a big space, indoor play section and plenty of food and drink on offer. Not that we watched it but there is also a big screen in the cafe, which creates a nice homely feel and can imagine it being popular when sporting matches are on! The friendly owners really made the stay - nothing was too much bother and you can tell how much love and hard work has gone into the campsite. Will definitely be returning and recommend to anyone looking for a family friendly campsite in beautiful surroundings.

Negativ Was not a problem for us but can imagine if the campsite continues to grow in popularity, the number of bathrooms may cause queuing.

Positiv The whole family loved our stay, the owners were so friendly and welcoming. The pitch was great and the facilities were good. The cafe was very reasonably priced for food and drinks and stayed open late due to it being the weekend. The barn was perfect for our children, especially when it rained as its undercover. They had the best time and played with lots of the other children.

Negativ Not a dislike but suggestions:
- more paths to the pitches so feet don't get covered in grass
- the shower was a bit leaky so the floors were very wet/ grassy
- although we didn't have to queue with there only being 2 showers not sure if this would get busy at peak times
- greater variety of food in the cafe

Positiv Everyone is very friendly and welcoming Pitches are clean and spacious, facilities very clean well presented and the animals are an added treat!!! Site is very quiet at night and super relaxing in the day. Definitely will be returning

Positiv Lovely spacious pitches enabling any layout of tents if there are a few of you. We were a group of couples, a 12 month old and 4 dogs and had a fabulous stay (despite the great British weather). Facilities are very clean and any issues were addressed straight away. The cafe is a great hub for poor weather and offers lots of food and drinks options. The farm animals/play barn are a fab addition. The owners are super friendly and we hope to return in the future!
