Negativ Pitch up show check in as 2pm. Red lion have it down as 3pm. So have to pay £10 extra if you want to check in earlier than 3. We arrived just after 1pm.
We paid to check in early as had been travelling for a few hours and then spent more money drinking in the bar. No win situation.

The check-in time over the autumn/winter period is indeed 3.00pm and this is updated and advertised on Pitch-up. In either case arrival at 1.00pm would attract the early arrival charge if you chose to pitch and hook up early to the electricity. Of course there is always the option of having a hot or cold drink at the bar whilst waiting for the check-in time. I hope this provides clarity and we look forward to welcoming you back at some point in the future.

Es tut mir leid, Ihre Kommentare zu den Toilettenblöcken zu lesen. Da keine weiteren Details angegeben wurden, ist es für uns schwierig, das spezifische Anliegen zu verstehen. Wir haben drei Toiletten und vier Duschen, die rund um die Uhr verfügbar sind und den AA 3-Sterne-Standard erfüllen. Diese Einrichtungen werden täglich gereinigt und von unserem Personal regelmäßig überprüft und erneuert. Camper sind auch willkommen, die Toiletten des Pubs zu nutzen, wenn der Pub geöffnet ist. Als traditionelles Gasthaus befinden wir uns in der Nähe der örtlichen Landschaft und der Farmstraßen. Das macht uns zwar gut erreichbar für lokale Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber es kann bedeuten, dass die Straßen manchmal stark befahren sind. Ich hoffe, das bringt etwas Klarheit, und wir wünschen Ihnen eine sichere Weiterreise.

I often stay on the campsite myself and was there the mid-week night you are referring to and I have to say that I thought the traffic was unusually busy. As a traditional coaching inn we are close the the local roads with the benefit that this does give good access to the local attractions. We hope to welcome you back at some point in the future.

Positiv The hard standing pitch was good nice and flat with plenty of room. Pub was also good friendly staff good food and liked the 10% off all your orders.
When we arrived there were afew people there but it was nice and quiet so managed to have a good sleep.

Negativ Only two toilets to cater for the whole campsite. Apparently there was another toilet block by the pub but didn't see that. Would assume its busy during peak season.

Positiv Great site, not too many pitches, all the overnight facilities you need, motorcycle friendly. Great pub, good food and a discount for campers.

Negativ Lighting in toilets would have been appresiated.

I am not sure which toilets you are referring to as our toilets do have lighting - one block is electric and the other a mixture of electric and solar to try and keep the light pollution down.
