Spacious pitches (all with a drinking water supply), excellent facilities and easy access to sandy crescents on Vigo Bay, in north-western Spain – surely that’s enough to commend Ledicia Camper Park. Being within a 10-minute walk of the shops and restaurants of the Galician resort of Nigrán is another advantage of this peaceful touring site, as is the fact that it also welcomes four-legged guests. The camper park is well equipped for families, with an outdoor pool (for when the waters of the Atlantic Ocean prove too cold or too choppy), a play area (with a zip line, slides, swings and trampolines), a games and TV room, and a large fenced area where your dog can have a little runaround. Of course, chances are your dog will get all the exercise it needs when it accompanies you on hikes up Monteferro (five minutes’ drive), a forested peninsula laced with hilly trails and dotted with observation points with far-reaching coastal views. Another popular hiking destination is PF Saians (10 minutes) – more inland, but with ocean views that are just as spectacular. Back at the site, chuck your hiking gear in the washing machine (there are also dryers) and get ready for dinner. There are several barbecue stations around the site and shaded areas with picnic tables in which to devour your meals. Throughout the day, the on-site cafeteria serves a wide selection of food, and the reception area has a small shop for essentials.

Local attractions

The pretty port in Baiona (15 minutes’ drive) is home to a replica of one of Columbus’s ships. Have a bite to eat on the sandy beach or relax on the fishing pier, before tackling the Fortaleza de Monterreal, a medieval fortress with well-preserved fortifications. In Vigo (half an hour), explore the Castelo do Castro, a 17th-century hilltop fortress with green areas and views of the fjord-like Ria de Vigo. The Museo do Mar de Galicia displays maritime artifacts and has a cabinet of scientific curiosities, and there are gorgeous sunsets to be seen from the Paseo Marítimo de Bouzas promenade. In Pontevedra (45 minutes), the Museo de Pontevedra is spread across multiple sites. These include the Castelao building, with art from the Middle Ages to the present day, and the Ruínas de San Domingos, the remains of a Galician Gothic convent at the northern end of the leafy Alameda de Pontevedra park.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 3 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m..
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
