True to form, the Costa del Azahar – or, to use its name en inglés, the Orange Blossom Coast – is packed with splendid citrus trees that stretch all the way down this eastern part of Castellón. Looking for a well-maintained spot to settle down in while exploring these parts? Then you'll want to get yourself to a site named after another lush local export, that site being Los Olivos Camping Park. There's an awful lot to like here: quiet surroundings, a seasonal outdoor pool, pétanque and a gym where you can work off any extra ice cream calories out in the fresh air. You can also hire bikes on site, meaning you can stash your car/motorhome keys somewhere safe and forget about them for the rest of your stay… In terms of practicalities, there's a laundry room, wifi access and a dog-walking area where travelling pets can give their paws a good stretch. A small shop on site stocks a few everyday essentials, but the shops, bars and cafés of Alcalà de Xivert are an easy one-kilometre walk away if you’re in need of more. The town's main church has a particularly impressive tower that can be seen for miles around (including from certain spots on site), plus a castle with roots going back to the Knights Templar and Moorish conquest.

Liked It’S very affoedable and quiet place; you could barely here anyone eles. It’S also very secluded, which is a plus.

Disliked The only downside is that they left some lights on all night the first night, making it dificulte to sleep. Also check-in is very early. The bathrooms are quite far away, but they have all the necessary amenities.

Liked Beautiful campsite with everything you need and more! Beautiful views! Great reception and welcome. I loved the HOT mixer shower, it had great pressure and you can wash your hair without having to press a button every 10 seconds. Cubicals nice and wide to! We upgraded our comfort pitch to a red pitch and it was massiveeee! Well worth it!

Disliked Black mould and dust in ladies showers and overgrown grass on pitches, playground, outdoor gym and dog walk. Everything else was perfect!

Liked Solo pase una noche, concretamente la del 1 al 2 de Mayo de 2026. Suficiente para poder decir que fue una muy buena experiencia, la parcela llana y muy fácil de aparcar, el trato en recepción maravilloso,las duchas y aseos perfectos,muy limpios y cuidados,al igual que el resto del camping.. estupendo para parar de paso, y como buen Andaluz, "pa quearse a vivi si hase farta". El precio me hizo dudar, no creía que tam barato podía estar en tan estupendas condiciones. Garcías.

Liked What a very quiet and pleasant place to stay. The receptionist was very welcoming.
We booked in for 2 nights but ended up staying an extra night. There are some nice little walkes to go on. And also a lovely little town to walk around. Also the shower was so nice and hot. And had very clean washing facilities for clothes and cutlery.

Liked Very peaceful, good location for touring surrounding area..the village is disappointing.

Disliked There was NO HOT WATER for 3 DAYS...Finally was fixed after numerous complaints from clients staying long term who had paid thousands to stay over winter, many of whom were elderley

Helaas hadden we een paar dagen heel slecht weer .de manager kwam ons te gemoed met een paar dagen verblijf in een sta caravan.
Super fijn en heel dankbaar daarvoor.
Goede en schonen douche .

If you've come to this coastal part of Spain, chances are you'll want to spend at least some of your time splayed out on a sumptuous stretch of sand. Alcossebre (15 minutes' drive) has an ace beach for just that, as well as coastal boardwalks, seafood bars, mountain views and plenty of ice cream spots. Peníscola (20 minutes) receives similar acclaim from holidaymakers, who flock here to swim while admiring vistas over its seaside citadel. Away from the coast, entertainment options include Papagayo Garden (15 minutes), an animal park with plenty of parrots, Panoramica Golf (35 minutes), an aptly-named sport spot with spectacular scenery, and Villafamés Contemporary Art Museum (35 minutes), a small but curious collection of modern pieces in a traditional hilltop village. Benicàssim (30 minutes), meanwhile, is a lively coastal town that plays host to a huge Spanish music festival every summer. Families will also find things to do around here, including the Aquarama water park and Plaça del Trenet, where the kids can whizz about on miniature locomotives. If you want to explore further afield, get set to drive to Tarragona (an hour and 20 minutes), where there's an impressive Roman amphitheatre and aqueduct.
