A busy, bustling, elbow-jabbing time is not a must if you're camping in Benidorm. Sí, even if you're staying just over a kilometre from its mighty famed Levante beach…. Stay clever and stay at Camping Villasol when you're visiting Alicante's most popular resort, for fab views of Benidorm and surrounds as well as enough to do on site that you might opt to stay put for the duration.
First up, there's not just a swimming pool but an aqua park, which has a large outdoor pool, indoor pool open all year round (a swim in December? Sí) and a paddling pool both for small sorts and aqua gym classes. Second, said park is surrounded by a tropical garden, which – third – has a chiringuito bar to have a cocktail or two or three.
You'll also oft find yourselves getting through the paella, burgers, Spanish and international food at the Camping Villasol restaurant – all, naturally, had on the terrace for splendid views of the pool and of Benidorm by night: have a look at the site pics for a quick preview.
Also on site? A playground for the kids and a pétanque court and multisports area with a basketball court for the energy-filled, and a mini market stocked with groceries, essentials and yet another Benidorm holiday staple (for Brits at least), tins of Heinz baked beans.

Route directions
On the AP7 take Exit 65. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the N332a. Turn right at the first traffic light. At the following traffic light turn right. Continue for approximately 1km; you will find the campsite on your right.

Local attractions
Levante beach is under a kilometre and a half from Camping Villasol and is jammed with activities such as waterskiing, jetskiing and kitesurfing. Too much? Levante is one of five Benidorm beaches so you're sure to find somewhere to lay down your beach towel.
Theme parks galore are in the area too, including Mundomar marine animal park and Spain's biggest waterpark Aqualandia both within ten minutes' walk, and Terra Mitica and Terra Natura each six kilometres away.
And, wisely says Camping Villasol, remember too what Benidorm is famous for 365 days of the year, and go forth in avid search of festivals, bars, nightclubs and parties.
