Glamping La Bellota

There’s plenty to keep you busy on site, but those aren’t the only options for active guests. For starters, this is a great area for hikes, with several lovely trails starting from either the lake or the nearby village of Encinas de Esgueva (10 minutes' drive). The scenery of this area is dotted with castles, vineyards and viewpoints, not to mention historic sights like the Roman bridge outside Tórtoles de Esgueva (20 minutes). Several other local villages are worth a visit as well, including Canillas de Esgueva (15 minutes) with its ruined castle, Piña de Esgueva (half an hour) for its church and views and Valbuena de Duero (half an hour), home to both a grand monastery and some excellent wineries. A little further away is Valladolid (an hour), an attractive city that’s home to the Palacio Real, Museo Nacional de Escultura and an ornate cathedral as well as lots of restaurants and cafés for sampling the local cuisine.
