The thoroughly dreamy setting of Complejo The Dreams in Cazalegas, among the Sierra de San Vicente valley in central Spain, is well worth a long look. Horse riding, golf, climbing and mountaineering are all popular pursuits around these parts, and for active days on site guests can go canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and fishing on the huge 150-hectare lagoon; hikes around the spectacular Sierra de San Vicente valley begin right on site too. Birdwatchers rejoice, because the lagoon is also a prime spot for their fave pursuit: the poplars, elms and aquatic plants bordering the water are a habitat for hawks, eagles and heaps of wading and migratory birds such as herons, cormorants, geese and marsh harriers. Several days' worth of lazing around on site should also be well sorted, with several spacious recreation areas, bouncy castles, a playground and a big outdoor saltwater pool and paddling pool at your disposal. Illuminated after dark for peaceful nighttime swims, the pool is surrounded by a roomy terrace for sunbathing in between lengths – even handier when you learn that the cocktail bar service extends to the poolside… Guests rave about the food and attentive service in the site's two on-site restaurants, and the terrace seating area is a fine spot to sink back at. However, for times when you're after something a little more low-key, you can pick up picnic bits at the mini market or make use of the guest barbecue area.

Local attractions

Set in the town of Cazalegas, 13 kilometres from Talavera de la Reina, Complejo The Dreams has easy access to plenty of outdoorsy pursuits. Hiking routes are all around the valley, and you're well advised to take your bike if you can to tackle the scenic cycling routes crisscrossing the area. Climbing and mountaineering are popular around here too, with lots of natural climbing walls near the site; speak to the friendly Complejo team about local partner companies that organise excursions to the best spots in the valley. Horse riding trips are also arranged at a centre near the park, with routes suited to riders with all levels of experience. For a not-so-natural leisure activity or two, paintballing and airsoft are available nearby, and a karting circuit with 10 metre-wide circuits lies very close to the resort. Spanish town and city-based adventures are within easy reach too: Complejo The Dreams is 40 kilometres from Arenas de San Pedro, 49 kilometres from Candeleda and 100 kilometres from Madrid.

Disliked: Site looked tired and neglected.
Access to pitches more suitable to a camper van than a 7.6m motorhome.

Liked: Nice spacious pitches. Toilets and showers clean and modern. Very quiet end of season!

Disliked: No water taps on site. Hook up leaked water when attached. Wifi flakey depending on location. Very busy in bar, restaurant, play area at weekend!

Liked: la dimension de l'emplacement ..

Disliked: tout.....des sanitaires pas propres et je ne vous parle pas des bacs pour laver la vaisselle , la piéce de la machine a laver qui sent trés mauvais ,des poubelles qui déborde devant le camping sur la route et pour finir vous avez l'impression de dormir au milieu du boite de nuit ( la musique s'arréte a 7 heures du matin )nous sommes partis plutot que prévu et surtout amis campeurs fuyez cet endroit .

Liked: El sitio esta muy bien, por la tarde tienen dj y durante el dia tiene entretenimiento para todos en general.
Tienen castillo hinchable y parque todo el dia que es un punto muy bueno si vas con niños.
La terraza nos gusto mucho, estaba todo muy bueno.
La gente muy amable.

Disliked: La piscina no nos gusto mucho. El agua estaba verdosa y había mucha gente, no solo entraba la gente que esta en el camping sino que también puedes ir a pasar el dia en ella por lo que había mucha gente para lo pequeña que es.
