Liked Great host, great location. equipped with everything. The trail from the campsite to Trevelez was great! One of the best parts of the trip.

Disliked The door to the male restroom would not close all the way. It was only 12 degrees, but I can imagine how cold it could be when trying to shower with a 3/4 closed door in the winter.

Liked We really enjoyed our time at Camping Trevelez. During our stay in mid to late Sep there weren´t that many other visitors so were able to get a pitch away from other people. We also had the swimming pool almost to ourselves. Other likes
- clean bathrooms
- great views of the mountains
- as easy 15 minute walk to Trevelez village
- a nice bar on the site

Liked Nos encantó! El camping en pleno agosto no estaba lleno! Un ambiente tranquilo, nada de ruido, y muy buena temperatura. Volveremos! Duchas y Wc muy limpios

Liked La atención del personal que trabaja allí en recepción y en la limpieza y mantenimiento.
La tranquilidad y las vistas, el ambiente relajado y tranquilo

Disliked Que siempre hay personas que podamos ser ruidosas y molestas para los demás, es una lotería quien te toque de vecindario.
La piscina, demasiado cloro, para mí gusto.
En la web dice que hay electricidad en las parcelas pero solo hay dos tomas para 10 parcelas, y mejor si llevas alargadera y ladrón

Liked Very nice friendly staff. The facilities are basic but all functional. The shower had lots of hot water. Close to the town of Trevelez which is very nice. Close to lots of walks.

Disliked There was only wifi at the reception area.

From Granada On the A92, take the exit signposted Lanjarón-Alpujarra and follow the directions to Trevélez. You will find signs for the campsite on your way. From Motril On the A92, take the exit signposted Orgiva-Alpujarra and follow the directions to Trevélez.

Local attractions

Camping Trevélez's local village – and its surroundings – are excellent: this is one of the highest areas in Spain and well regarded by mountaineers as a starting point for ascending the peaks of Mulhacén (3482m), Veleta (3398m) and Alcazaba (3366m). Paragliding is another popular option in the area, but if the thought makes you dizzy, you can stay on land for other outdoor activities like cycling, hiking, trout fishing and mountain biking around the campsite and in the national park. Elsewhere in the natural park, the Sierra Nevada Ski Station has the highest peak in southern Spain and is the most southerly ski resort in Europe for downhill days, or you could have a more placid time wildlife watching wherever you fancy among the park's Spanish ibex, wild boar, birds of prey, pine martens, wildcats and badgers.
