Liked: Motorhome pitches were level and gravel topped. Electric supply was fine and water was on the pitch too. Plenty of watering points around the site. Cassette facilities were fine.
Fairly quiet when I was there end of April.
Some parts look fairly tatty though, long term caravans looking very run down.
Good shop open everyday.
Bar and restaurant were both fine.
Shower and toilet block could do with a refresh.
I would return.

Liked: Although we booked a 'car park' stay, it was a lovely view top of the site looking over the mountains. Its surrounded by lovely palm trees, plants and flowers. The restaurant was well maintained and got served quick. The supermarket onsite is fantastic, well stocked, great selection of fresh food and meats etc.
Receptionist was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed.

Disliked: The shower toilet area, is clean and nice enough, although with only one other person in the shower, the pressure of the shower was very minimal, could be improved.

Liked: Good roomy pitch, however the motorhome was skidding on the stones. Toilet block kept very clean. Showers good as somewhere to put clothes. Shop was exceptional as was the restaurant. I would have liked some spanish food though and not british.

Disliked: Nothing really that i disliked.

Liked: Well organised with comprehensive facilities. Cafe, bar and supermarket well stocked and prices quite reasonable. Staff friendly and helpful. Couldn’t ask for any more.

Disliked: Very crowded and pitches right on top of each other. Maybe too many full timers on site.

Liked: Absolutely everything!

Disliked: Again, as with every site that we've used in the past 2 months, the long term/live in residents have ruined the site with their dishevelled & more often than not dirty awnings, assorted bikes, & other clutter. It's such a terrible shame to have to mention this as the site in itself is gorgeous. The restaurant/club house is wonderful, the pool looks fantastic & the site itself is well looked after.

Local attractions

Find your way to peaceful beaches and wild coastal landscapes in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park… with especially scenic stretches of sand at Playa de Mónsul (an hour's drive) Playa de los Genoveses (an hour) and Los Muertos beach (40 minutes), you’ll be free to snorkel, swim, sail, hike or fish as you please. If you’d rather switch the beach for hiking and wild swimming, head to Nacimiento del Rio Aguas (20 minutes). There are many spectacular places to hike around this area, that’s for sure. You could challenge yourself to steeper climbs along Cerro de La Mezquita (40 minutes), explore the area around the Iglesia de Teresa (20 minutes) church or get ready for views of the hills, mountainside roads and the sea from Mirador De La Granatilla (35 minutes).

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

If the reception is closed on arrival, please check in at the Restaurant.
Please pick any available pitch on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

General

Public areas are non-smoking.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 3 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
Single-sex bookings of 5 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

Pitches

A cable measuring at least 10 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Pool

Please note there is no lifeguard on duty.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/07 and 30/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. between 05/01 and 31/12.
Reception is unmanned after 9 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
No charcoal barbecues allowed.
Open fires are prohibited.

Taxes

This area is not subject to city tax.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
No vehicle movement between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.

Visitors

Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.

Additional terms

Campers are entitled to discounted short term membership of the "Almeria Lawn Bowls Club" if they are interested in playing whilst onsite.
