Liked Good and clean showers and toilets. Good bikes to rent.

Disliked The ground is very hard to put legs in. Small area per tent and between caravans. The small swimming pool has poor ventilation, uncomfortable in warm days. Need open roof for warm days.

Liked Well organised site and good location. It had nice bath facilities and an easy self service market.

Disliked The pitches are very close, and not much privacy. The pool is there but very unclean.

Liked Clean, well organised, close to Maastricht, friendly site. Dogs very welcome and country walks for dog right by the site.

Disliked At peak times it can get a bit noisy depending on who’s camping or staying nearby. A organised rave also went on for a couple of nights in the Maastricht outskirts which noisily ran all night. Not the parks problem so not scored them down on it, but be aware as it’s likely an annual event.

With so many caves in Maastricht and the countryside, bump Gemeentegrot (five minutes' drive) to the top of your to-do list. During the war, many took refuge in the Casemates tunnels at the Kazematten Waldeck Maastricht Underground (15 minutes) too. When you’re not exploring this underground world, marvel at the works of art in one of Limburg's leading art museums, the Bonnefanten museum (10 minutes), or catch a show at the Theater aan het Vrijthof (15 minutes). There’s a splendid view of a marl quarry and the surrounding hills after a climb to Uitzichtpunt Sint Pietersberg (15 minutes) – just the thing for those who can’t pass up a good hike.
