To the Frisian Lakes district… and a fine place from which to launch all the water-based activities you may have on your holiday wishlist, for Friesland site Recreatiebedrijf De Koevoet is right on the banks of Koevorde Lake. That shoreline setting (in the grounds of a traditional farmhouse, no less) means straightforward access to the water for swimming and fishing and a handy marina where guests can moor small boats or hire them to sail around locally. And if you’re more in the mood for lakeside lazing? Well, pick your spot… there are gorgeous views all around at this Teroele site, either looking out over the lake or towards the surrounding green fields (which also form a pleasing backdrop for walks, bike rides or boat outings, should you feel the urge to get up and explore). And if that lake viewing experience would be enhanced by having a drink and/or snack to hand? Scoot over to the harbourside café, which serves small bites. Tuck into apple pie or a toastie on the terrace, and make note of when the next cheese and meat fondue evening is. For times when you don't fancy waterside activity, other facilities on site include a playground, TV room, free wifi and a small library of books and games.

Disliked Showers operate on a coin machine but not an issue, part of the 'green" credentials.

Liked Sehr schön gelegener Zeltplatz.
Die Sonnenuntergänge waren traumhaft und generell sehr ruhig.
Perfekter Ort um abzuschalten.

Disliked Toiletten und der Duschbereich könnten etwas sauberer sein bzw. Die Insekten Situation haben gefühlt Tag für Tag zugenommen. Mag sein das wir was das betrifft zu empfindlich sind.

Disliked Geen plek voor ons ondanks de reservering. Plek te klein voor onze camper van 6. 83cm
Wij krijgen de schuld camper groter dan 7 meter. Is niet zo. Moesten €40 betalen ivm reservering via pitchup. Wel ander camping geregeld maar gewoon niet eerlijk. Alles goed gedaan en volgens de regeks en geen vakantie gehad.

Het spijt ons oprecht dat jullie vakantie anders is verlopen dan gehoopt. Dat was ook voor ons een heel vervelende situatie.

Jullie camper was volgens de gegevens 6,83 meter lang, maar dat bleek de lengte zonder fietsendrager te zijn. Inclusief fietsendrager was de totale lengte ongeveer 7,3 meter. Daardoor paste de camper helaas niet op de plaats die via Pitchup was gereserveerd.

Als we ruimte hebben, zoeken we altijd een andere plek op onze camping. Helaas was de camping volledig bezet en was dat deze keer niet mogelijk. Daarom heb ik direct collega's gebeld en gelukkig konden jullie terecht op Camping De Uilenburg.

Ik wil nog wel één punt verduidelijken. De € 40 waar u naar verwijst, was niet bedoeld als extra kosten voor u. Dat bedrag betrof de commissie die PitchUp normaal gesproken bij ons in rekening brengt voor een reservering. Op het moment dat wij contact hadden, wist ik nog niet of wij die commissie ondanks de annulering alsnog moesten betalen.

Inmiddels heeft PitchUp bevestigd dat u het volledige door u betaalde bedrag terugkrijgt én dat wij geen commissie hoeven te betalen. Mocht u de € 40 inmiddels aan ons hebben overgemaakt, dan betaal ik die uiteraard graag aan u terug. U hoeft mij dan alleen even uw IBAN door te geven.

Ook voor ons heeft deze situatie helaas financiële gevolgen gehad. Omdat de camping volledig bezet was, konden wij de vrijgekomen plaats niet meer aan iemand anders verhuren. Toch hebben wij ervoor gekozen om direct mee te denken, een andere camping voor u te regelen en contact op te nemen met PitchUp om de terugbetaling voor elkaar te krijgen.

Juist daarom doet deze beoordeling mij eerlijk gezegd wel verdriet. Jullie hebben uiteindelijk niet op onze camping verbleven, maar wij hebben ons wel volledig ingezet om de situatie zo goed mogelijk op te lossen en ervoor te zorgen dat jullie vakantie toch kon doorgaan. Dat is de service die wij onze gasten altijd proberen te bieden.

Ik wens jullie alsnog veel mooie vakanties toe.

Liked Ruime plekken op mooi gras rond een kleine, gezellige jachthaven. Je kunt er ook hapje eten. Prachtige omgeving met leuke dorpen waar je naast varen en suppen ook heerlijk kunt fietsen.

Disliked Enige minput: muntjes om te douchen en af te wassen.

Liked Ein kleiner, sauberer Stellplatz mit sehr nettem Betreiber. Sanitäranlagen waren super sauber. Der Platz liegt idyllisch an einem kleinen Hafen. Wer Ruhe sucht, wird sie hier finden.

Disliked Op het tentenveld moet je rekening houden met dat je niet je spullen met de auto kan vervoeren. De vouwwagen wordt wel netjes op de plek gezet.

Get on your bikes and pedal off to Langweer (15 minutes’ bike ride) for more sailing and watersports, or to Swimfun (half an hour) to splash in the wave pool and lazy river.
