Italian sands of over 15 kilometres – and accessed 100 metres from your Italian site: Venice's Camping Klaus has some serious sandy clout. (And more: it's an easy bus or ferry ride to the ancient centre of Venice, and from there to the lagoony islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello.)
Camping Klaus is in the quiet and family-friendly seaside resort of Cavallino, that of the 15-kilometre beach, and is surrounded by maritime pines to give shade from the summer heat – and possibly provide a patch for a few zzzzzs after lunch?
Facilities include a launderette, a washing-up area and a modern amenities block with free hot showers. Klaus is also only four kilometres from the busy town, bars, restaurants and clubs of Jesolo, but if you want to stay on site after an active day's sightseeing, the restaurant serves a good variety of dishes including local specialties, Mediterranean options and pizza.
A butcher's, supermarket and off-licence are within 300 metres of the site.

Local attractions
Cavallino is the second most popular seaside resort in Italy, which has probably something to do with those 15 kilometres of sand… and there'd be no judgement at all if you decided to spend all your Camping Klaus hol on this very stretch.
If you do manage to peel yourself off your sun towel, have a jaunt to Jesolo next. The place is famed for its glittery nightlife, its busy bars and clubs, its restaurants, shops and long promenade: if parents have parked the kids on the grandparents (do bring them on hol), this is the place to be.
When you're back on track with the kids, the Aqualandia waterpark is a short drive away, or you could take to two wheels and explore the connected cycling routes of Cavallino and its coast.
You can/must also get a ferry to Venice and its main islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello; Verona, Padua, the Brenta Riviera and Treviso are all within a couple of hours' drive.

Fully-serviced grass pitch
Liked We were so close to the beach if it’s a beach holiday you’re after this is PERFECT! The site was close to all local amenities making grocery shopping and eating out easy. The staff were friendly and helpful and their English was far better than my Italian! The sight was clean and well maintained and the facilities were good! The shower was hot.
Disliked Pitch up stated BBQ’s are allowed as long as they are supervised by an adult and raised off the ground. This is untrue and we got into trouble and where told it’s illegal to cook in Italy on a coal or open fire.
