  • Convenient base for Pisa, Florence, Lucca and Siena
  • Restaurant terrace overlooking the Tuscany hills
  • Pool, bar and free use of sun loungers
You'll already have heard just how fab Tuscany is. The land of Tuscan steaks and endless other Italian flavours, hills and varied landscapes, art, heritage and spectacular cities such as Pisa, Florence, Lucca and Siena has been famed worldwide and much visited for centuries by peeps of considerable taste… and you'll have heard that Tuscan wine isn't too shabby either… Amid all this, and most handy as a base for all the aforementioned cities, is Toscana Holiday Village, set on five hectares about 25 miles from Florence and designed to give guests all they need for a comfy and memorable Tuscan hol: you'll very much enjoy the restaurant with its roomy terrace overlooking the terrific Tuscany hills… For other eats, Toscana Holiday Village is about 15 minutes' walk from the medieval town of Montopoli in Val d'Arno and its small selection of bars, restaurants and a pizzeria, so you can ditch the car if you want while here. Pack your swimming gear, your sunnies and your sunscreen for days under the blazing sun in and around the Toscana Holiday Village pool, open throughout the summer season (weather dependent, but likely to be most fine). Sun loungers and beach umbrellas near the pool are available for guests to use free of charge. The site has a bar as well as the restaurant, where bread and pastries can be ordered for the the next day. The Toscana Holiday Village team organises activities such as a kids' club, theme nights and live music during the summer school holidays.

What customers say

This campsite's prime location for visiting Pisa and Florence is frequently praised, as are the pool and restaurant. However, a significant number of reviews highlight considerable maintenance issues, particularly concerning the cleanliness and condition of the sanitary facilities. While some guests found it to be good value for a short stay, others felt it was overpriced given the reported drawbacks. The staff generally receive positive mentions for friendliness.

Electric grass and gravel tent pitch

Liked You get what you pay for. A cheap place to stay with electricity, running water and toilets. They have a nice pool and a cool pool bar.

Disliked Little run down, toilets not cleaned every day and the trashcans were running over.

2 bedroom static caravan (classic, five person)

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Nothing

Disliked Poor alround. Scruffy site. No one available at check in on arrival or in the restaurant. Getting to and from a pitch needs a 4X4. Facilities useable but not memorable. On checkout staff were unconcerned if we had been there or not. We could have left without paying and no one would have missed us.

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Rien

Local attractions

You'll probably have heard too how delish Tuscan food is, as it's rightly famed all over the world. The best way to sample the meat, truffles, wine, bread and oh so much more of this region is to pedal around the area and stop off at an agriturismo (farm catering for guests) for some home-cooked Tuscan tuck. Small local villages like Barberino Val d'Elsa, Collodi and Barga and Certaldo and Vinci near Florence will also yield much in the line of tasty Tuscan cuisine, as will the much-visited cities of Florence, Lucca, Siena, Pisa and Pistoia, also filled with many many museums, churches, cathedrals, piazzas, palaces and sculptures. Whatever your Tuscan taste, you'll find it around here, shopping included.
