Surrounded by a centuries-old Mediterranean pine forest, PuntAla Camp and Resort is a well-established holiday park stretching along the Tuscan coastline near Grosseto. With direct access to a private beach, this is a super spot for action-filled family holidays in the sun. Life revolves around the beach, its sun beds and shallow swimming spots, but there’s always something happening in the park as well. During the day, young kids can tire themselves out safely on treetop rope trails or pretend to be pirates aboard a model galleon. As a family, you can learn to sail a catamaran, surf or paddleboard at the Surf’n Sail Centre, play tennis, or hire a bike from the Punta Ala Trail Centre for cycle rides to spot wild cattle in the remote Maremma countryside. Pick up Tuscan goodies at the handy supermarket for family suppers around your barbecue – and if you don’t fancy cooking, no problem. With a choice of alfresco dining and casual bar snacks, you shouldn't go hungry. Pop into laidback Ristorante Centrale for pizza with the kids, or ramp up the romance factor with dinner at the beach bar, accompanied by views across to the island of Elba. There’s oodles of entertainment after dark too, from films screened under the stars to themed dance nights and music sessions for youngsters at the Miniclub. And a rule of silence guarantees that you won’t be disturbed by car engine noise during afternoon siesta time or after 11pm at night.

Liked Ein großer weitläufiger Campingplatz ,eingebettet in einen tollen Pinienhain .Direkt am Meer mit einem feinen Sandstrand den man nicht nur auf bereitgestellten Liegen nutzen kann ,sondern auch auf eigenen !!!
Alles vorhanden was der Camper benötigt zum glücklich sein . Saubere Sanitärbereiche ,Gastronomie ,Supermarkt ,Bäckerei , Strandbar, Bootsverleih.

Liked Gepflegte Anlage schöner Campingplatz. Liegt schön in der Natur und der Strand ist wunderschön.

Disliked Sanitäranlagen sind nicht gepflegt. Zum Teil hat es streng gerochen. Leider gab es kein Klopapier und Seife gab es auch nicht.

Liked Sand was good and clean. Public showers and toilets clean and modern. Electricity and water worked without any issue. Refuse collection was silent, regular and friendly. Food in restaurant's were excellent in quality and cooking.

Disliked Not friendly, too big, tiring, dusty and not easy to meet people. Very poor pitch and not caravan friendly. I was left very disappointed and family tension. I wanted waste water evacuation like other pitches and thought I had booked the top level. I was not given that and it spoiled the 12 day break. Plus we were too far from the toilets and waste disposal. Music from kids spot was too load and we were not so close. Tractor everyday going around spraying water on the gravel that was noisy. No one from the camp management popped over to check if all was ok. Only contact was the bin man. Restaurant's were expensive but the food was good. Service hot and miss. Pizza queue was on average 40mins, but delicious. Could not pre-order. No cash allowed anywhere and the sun lounge with parasol and a chair was 85 Euros a day. We were eaten alive everyday with mosquitos and flying ants. The access road to the camp site was unsafe and full of pot holes. Terrible for the axel of the vehicle. The car park number recognition system never worked with my car and each time had to press the button to get in or out, which is pain when you have a right hand drive vehicle. Annoyed of other people's drones flying around you on holiday and there seemed to be no rules or restrictions. My pitch had no shade whereas everyone around did under the pine trees. Pine needles everywhere. The holiday was spoilt and I have only myself to blame for booking this inadequate resort.

Although the beach and sports activities at PuntAla could keep you busy for weeks, top of your to-do list should be a day in Maremma Regional Park. Pack a picnic and head for the Visitor Centre at Alberese (50 minutes’ drive ) to explore the hilly grasslands and waterways on foot, bike or horseback, keeping an eye out for egrets, wild ponies and long-horned cows. Jump on a ferry at Piombino (45 minutes) to explore the island of Elba in the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, where you can hang out on peaceful beaches, hike the mountainous Monte Enfola trail, or dig into local history at clifftop Castello del Volterraio, where Napoleon was exiled in 1814. Continuing the cultural theme, hop over to the ancient Etruscan city of Rusellae (45 minutes) to wander scattered ruins, or dip into the treasures at the history museums of medieval Grosseto (40 minutes). Afterwards, reward yourself with mounds of pasta at terrace restaurants in shaded backstreets.
