With a great deal of greenery on site and fine golden sand just five minutes’ stroll away, an atmosphere of peace and relaxation is the norm at Camping Flintstones Park in Ragusa, on Sicily's south coast. Just as routine are paddles in the stone-carved pool on site or walks through the dunes, which make for some good exploration after a day laid out on the sand at Lido Bruca, 200 metres away. Simple relaxation is a strength of this family-friendly site. You might find it in the pool, at the designated barbecue area or somewhere in the shade. Or you might find it out and about… There are several more beaches within 10 minutes’ drive of the site. Also nearby is Scicli (15 minutes’ drive), a UNESCO-listed town well appreciated by writers, artists and anyone with an eye for Baroque architecture, ancient streets and heritage sites like palaces and churches. The town has been the set for an Italian TV show, as has Fornace Penna (10 minutes), the ruins of a brick factory and tuna fishery on the cliffside. Of course, something tasty to eat is always on the mind soon, and it’s not hard to track down such a thing from Camping Flintstones Park. There are food shops 15 minutes’ walk away, and restaurants too – that’s if you’re not tending to your own creations on the designated barbecue area. As well as a quiet setting that welcomes dogs, the site has a cluster of great facilities including bathrooms with toilets and hot showers.

Liked In der Vorsaison genügend Platz, gute und saubere sanitäre Anlagen.
CP liegt ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß am Meer mit wenig Touristen am feindsandigem Strand.
Sehr guter Metzger ca. 600 m entfernt.
Morgens kommt ein Bäckerwagen mit gutem Brot vorbei.

Liked L'accoglienza del proprietario e le piazzole grandi e ben livellate, inoltre l'ambiente pulito é ben organizzato, la mattina arriva un signore con una macchina che vende pane, pizzette, cornetti ecc ecc.

Liked de très belle place de sable, emplacement correct pour camping car (attention pas dans les bois).

Disliked 2 sanitaires pour hommes correct par contre 2 autres 1m carre ridicule (êtres très maigres).les douches payantes 50ct normalement 5 minutes plus souvent 2. les emplacement tente carrément dans les bois avec les moustiques.et la piscine envahies de gamins , minuscule, 4 transats qui ce cours après, très bruyant; donc nul.....tous cela 35€ pas de commerce dedans . je ne reviendras plus jamais.

From the manager: Bonjour, merci pour cet avis négatif. Tout d'abord, je tiens à vous rappeler que vous n'avez utilisé qu'un seul bloc sanitaire, alors que le camping en compte trois. Les douches sont programmées numériquement pour cinq minutes ; vous n'avez pas pu en utiliser deux ; vous avez fait une erreur. Nous sommes désolés que vous n'ayez pas pu utiliser la piscine rien que pour vous, mais vos enfants y ont droit aussi. La forêt, comme vous l'appelez, est très appréciée de nos clients ; les moustiques sont impossibles à contrôler dans la nature ; nous les désinfectons constamment. Séjournez à l'hôtel plutôt qu'au camping. PLUS JAMAIS !

Liked We received a friendly welcome from the staff who were helpful. Quiet site with good clean toilet/shower block. Hot water at the sinks with plugs included and toilet seats. Hot showers are 50 cents for five minutes. There is a washing machine to be used for three euros.

Disliked The road surface to the site is badly broken up in places that floods when it rains heavily. The road around the site is narrow and twisty making towing a caravan onto some of the pitches difficult.

Electric hardstanding and grass tent pitch

Liked Ottima la sistemazione all'ombra degli alberi, molto verde presente nel campeggio, molto vicino al mare che era molto pulito e tranquillo per essere Agosto. La piscina anche se piccola è molto caratteristica. Cortesia del personale, servizi puliti. Ideale per chi desidera trascorrere delle vacanze a mare e in tranquillità immersi nel verde. Se si ha la possibilità di spostarsi è interessante visitare il luoghi vicini che meritano certamente una visita. La durata delle docce è più che sufficiente. L'area giochi e piccolina.

Local attractions

A waterfall, caves, sea arches, pine forests, golden sand… the list of natural attractions within driving distance of Camping Flintstones Park might seem to go on and on. A 30-metre-high waterfall can be discovered at the end of the three-kilometre hike at Conca del Salto (20 minutes’ drive), meaning a peaceful riverside stroll with a great reward. You might like to take in caves with ancient burial sites and carvings, way up in a canyon surrounded by mountains. The views are naturally pretty spectacular around the Archaeological area of Cava d'Ispica (half an hour) and it also has lots to keep the history buffs entertained, from churches in caves to catacombs and old houses. Returning to the coast, the Riserva naturale integrale Cava Randello (35 minutes) might be next up on your list after the site’s local beach. With pine forests that make a great setting for peaceful picnics and a selection of very quiet beaches for dips in the Med, it’s rather spectacular over there.
