Liked: Campeggio molto tranquillo con ampi spazi. I servizi discreti migliorabili. Di bello c’è che sta a 100m dalla spiaggia di ciottoli e ciottolini, mare pulito molto bella. Personale cordiale.

Liked: Grand camping permettant de choisir assez librement son emplacement, avec de beaux arbres. Le site est poétique. La mer est magnifique avec vue sur l'Etna. Très bonne cuisine. Gérant accueillant. Possibilité de faire charger les téléphones et de mettre les glaçons au congélateur. Petite supérette avec de l'eau ouverte tard dans la nuit. La mer à 500 mètres.

Disliked: La route pour aller à la mer n'est pas piétonne, les voitures roulent très vite c'est dangereux. Pas de navette pour aller dans d'autres villes, sans véhicule on se sent vite coincés. Pour prendre le bus, il faut marcher 20 minutes sur une route sinueuse dangereuse, avec des chats morts écrasés partout. Aucune ombre et les bus sont toujours très en retard. Dernier bus départ de Taormina à 20h30, impossible donc de manger dehors. Les taxis sont exorbitants : 20 euros pour 5 min. Très peu de restaurants autour du camping, pas de supermarché. Il faudrait absolument créer un espace piéton sur cette route, et une navette de la plage à Taormina. Douches propres mais poubelles pourraient être changées plus souvent, étant donné l'interdiction de mettre du Papier toilette dans les WC.

Liked: Der. Platz ist schattig, großzügige Plätze, Duschen und Toiletten sind sauber. Ausflügen über den Campingplatz buchbar und wir wurden sogar zum Bus gefahren.

Disliked: Leider ist der Weg zum Strand an einer stark befahrenen Straße ohne Fußweg 500m lang . Und die einige Türen der Duschen lassen sich nicht schließen

Liked: Really friendly and helpful owner. Fresh bread and croissants every morning. The small shop had all of the essentials. Delicious homecooked food in the restaurant. Only a short walk to the beach. Perfect location for visiting Etna, gorge and Taormina. Toilets and showers were not posh but were spotlessly clean.

Liked: Ci siamo trovati molto bene, campeggio comodo (eravamo in tenda) con bagni vicini e puliti e docce calde. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile e ci ha dato consigli utili su come muoverci nei dintorni. Molto comodo e buono anche il bar per la colazione.

Local attractions

From food to nature to history to more food (well, it's Sicily), you'll find heaps to do around the island and the site surroundings. Golden beaches, clear waters and boat trips around Sicily's islands are easy to sort from here too. Start off at local town Calatabiano to see its ninth-century Arab and Norman castle high up above the town, reachable via a funicular railway lift and with spectacular views over the island (settle down in the restaurant to take your time drinking these in). You can hike back down to the town from here along the track past the church, to come out at the villlage square for a drink or a coffee. From Calatabiano, it's about 50 minutes' drive or just over an hour and a half by bus to reach Messina, the ancient settlement on Sicily's north-eastern tip. Among the many sights here are the 12th-century cathedral, the Palazzo Calapaj, the 16th-century San Ranieri lighthouse, and the old gate of the Porta Grazia, a fortress still standing at Messina's harbour. The Galleria d'Arte Contemporanea di Messina, showcasing contemporary works owned by the city, is a popular stop for arty sorts.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

General

Quiet (afternoon) hours must be respected between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m..
Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The grocery shop is open between 01/01 and 31/12.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Pitches

You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

Reception is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. between 01/05 and 15/09.
Reception is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. between 01/01 and 30/04 and between 16/09 and 31/12.
Reception is unmanned after 7 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.

Taxes

This area is not subject to city tax.

Vehicles

Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
