Oh, that beach… and oh, that other beach. Take a minute or two to peruse the pics and you’ll no doubt have picked up daydream fodder to get you through at least a few dreary days at work before you book. Feast your eyes on these gorgeous views for real by grabbing a berth at Camping La Liccia, a couple of kilometres north of Rena Majore on Sardinia’s stunning northern coast. You’ll get glimpses of the sea from various corners of the five-hectare site, and a leisurely walk of 15 minutes or so will take you to one of several little beaches nearby where you can wander through the dunes or stretch out on the sand before diving into that sparkling clear water. Need a more immediate way to cool off? Head to the on-site pool for a swim, or settle on a sun lounger or on a shaded comfy sofa to gaze out over the scenery with a drink in hand from the little poolside bar. The site also has a pizzeria and a bigger bar-restaurant with a shaded terrace and live music during July and August. Also on site are a playground, table tennis kit, a mini market and bikes to hire.

This is a clean and well-maintained campsite with very friendly and helpful staff. Guests appreciated the quiet atmosphere, proximity to a nice beach and town, and the on-site restaurant. The swimming pool was a highlight for families. However, some found the WiFi limited to the restaurant, the shuttle bus had limited seating and hours, and the walk to the beach was described as difficult for those with children. Liked Immersione totale nella pineta, ben coperto da vento e pioggia. Ristorante assolutamente eccezionale con prezzi molto onesti e qualità altissima.
Molto cordiali all’assistenza, i quali hanno provveduto subito a risolvere un problema riscontrato sul posizionamento in piazzola.

Disliked Posizioni delle piazzole, alcune non sono in piano e non sono segnate, quindi se vi spostate di giorno, rischiate di trovare occupato dai vicini che si allargano. Andrebbero numerate e allargate in modo da garantire spazio e privacy per tutti.
I servizi sono abbastanza buoni, sicuramente molto puliti ma un po’ vecchiotti. Le docce funzionano bene.

Liked Ein sehr schöner Campingplatz, auf dem wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Das La Liccia-Team ist sehr nett und die Atmosphäre familiär. Vom Campingplatz aus kann man den Norden der Insel sehr gut erkunden. Der Swimmingpool war großartig und mit Kindern ein großes Plus. Auch hat das Essen im Restaurant sehr gut geschmeckt (beste Pizza ever) und war preislich absolut im Rahmen. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns auch, dass jede Woche eine Band aufgetreten ist, die man beim Essen anhören kann. Wir können den Campingplatz empfehlen.

Disliked Leider liegt der Campingplatz direkt an einer stark befahrenen Straße, wo schon morgens ab 6 Uhr die ersten Autos entlangrasen.
Die sanitären Anlagen sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber (großes Plus) immer sehr sauber.

Local attractions

Beach buffs will be in their element round these parts, with several splendid sandy stretches a short walk away. Quiet Lu Pultiddolu beach is a 15-minute walk away, and for a gorgeous white-sand beach with natural dunes, it’ll take you 20 minutes or so to get to Rena Majore. If you’ve got wheels (two or four will do), you can also get up to the coves of Capo Testa or to the surf hotspots around Marmorata. A half-hour drive will take you over to Palau for boat trips to the islands of La Maddalena and Caprera – there are some great hiking trails here and some fab scuba diving in the surrounding marine park. For city wanderings, it’ll take you an hour or so to drive to Olbia; stop by the prehistoric monuments at Arzachena on your way down and then visit the archaeology museum in town – it’s both excellent and free.
