Mountain views from the pitches and spectacular Sardinian sunsets sound good to you? You may very well be tempted by a stay at Meladormo, five minutes’ drive from the historic, granite-built town of Tempio Pausania with all its shops, trattorias and pizzerias. Once on the family-friendly property, however, all is peace and calm: it’s you and those spectacular views, plus convenient shower and toilet amenities open all day and night.
Dogs are welcome – just as long as they behave around Camilla, the resident cat – and you can exercise them on walks straight from the pitches. The leafy gardens are just the spot for hanging out in hammocks – and if you feel too chilled to cook for yourselves, a breakfast service and organic local dishes can be ordered from the owners (extra costs apply). You can also buy local goodies like ricotta with fig jam on site.
Should you ever wish to leave this little slice of paradise, there’s lots of tourist information to inspire you, and the site owners can arrange a shuttle to Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (50 minutes’ drive). They might even pick you up from the railway station if you ask them in advance.
