What a little gem this Calabria coastal site is… 10 minutes’ drive north of Diamante, Area Camper Ulisse is spread over 15,000 square metres of seaside woodland, with direct access to a private stretch of beach. That in itself is a pretty good start, but the folk here haven’t just relied on the fine location to keep their guests happy: nope, they’ve also ensured there’s plenty to do, and plenty to eat (both most important aspects). For the former, there’s a sand football area, a beach volleyball court and a pétanque court to play beachy games whenever you fancy, and the site staff organise a whole heap of activities including aqua gym classes, kids’ antics and jolly evenings of music, dancing and karaoke. And on the eats front? Kick off the day with top-notch coffee and freshly baked croissants, then settle in for tasty meals at lunch and dinner or graze your way through the day with fries and arancini accompanied by cooling handmade granita drinks. You may well be intending to spend a large chunk of your time here on the beach – and that’s not a bad plan at all, given that it’s right there and set up with comfy loungers, parasols and watersports kit. If you’re up for exploring, however, it won’t take longer than 20 minutes or so in the car to get down into Diamante for a wander, to head up into the foothills of the Valle del Fiume Argentino State Nature Reserve or to seek out local historic sights (or just find another beach, if that’s your idea of sightseeing…)

Liked lA SIMPATIA E CORDIALITÀ PER DIRE NON. PER DIRE abbiamo sbagliato ma marce preso lo stesso.
La vicinanza al mare, la pulizia nei servizi igienici.

Disliked Lo abbiamo presso solo perche si poteva fare il BARBECUE, ma arrivati li ci hanno detto di non. Di conseguenza dato che avevamo il barbecue e la carne argentina (arrivata da li), siamo andati al RIFUGIO MONTANO, Percorso di montagna, metà sterrato e fatti li dopo pagare 50€ in contante.

Mi spiace leggere che mi da del codardo quando la mia chiarezza e gentilezza nel chiarire una situazione di pericolo per tutto il campeggio fosse stata chiara. Lei invece sembrava aver capito e compreso, invece è rimasto in silenzio solo per aspettare di fare una recensione, lei come lo chiama questo comportamento? Ci spiace per la sua delusione, ma la sicurezza prima di tutto.

Liked Accogliente e pulito gestori molto gentili disponibili, posizione molto comoda per luoghi d'interesse e spiaggia privata bella, ampia e tranquilla. Una bella esperienza davvero. Se dovessimo tornare da quelle parti lo sceglieremo di nuovo.

Liked Kleiner aber sehr süßer Campingplatz direkt am Meer.
Haben ganz spontan an dem Tag der Anreise gebucht und konnten nachts um 23:30 Uhr noch anreisen, für die Nacht hat man uns dann ein Stellplatz an der Rezeption gegeben und gleich am nächsten Tag haben wir einen super schönen Stellplatz gleich vorne bekommen nur ein paar Meter vom Strand weg.
Der Betreiber und das gesamte Team war Mega hilfsbereit.
Sanitäranlagen waren sauber und es gab genügend Spülbecken.
Können diesen Campingplatz wirklich weiterempfehlen.

Disliked Schade war nur, dass es abends keine Pizza auf dem Campingplatz gab aber man kann ja ins Ort laufen, da gibt es einige Möglichkeiten.
Für Warmwasser muss man für 2 Minuten 50 Cent bezahlen was auch in Ordnung ist, allerdings haben wir 1€ reingeworfen und leider kam kein warmes Wasser aber bei den Temperaturen war des jetzt auch nicht schlimm. Also am besten wirklich immer 50 Cent Stücke mit zum duschen mitnehmen.

Liked Stopped here for a night and wished we’d stayed longer! Pretty site with most pitches partly shaded by trees, right on the beach with beautiful turquoise water for swimming. Clean but very basic facilities and fantastic value for money.

Disliked No hot water for washing dishes. Shower had no hot water but I might have been unlucky!

Even if you’re reluctant to rise from your sun lounger, it’s worth making the effort to get down to Diamante (10 minutes’ drive) – it’s such a pretty town that it’s been used as the set for several TV shows and films, and it’s also a real hub for street art with more than 70 murals adorning its walls (can you spot them all?). Take in some of the area’s history while you’re out and about with trips to the ruins of Ruderi di Cirella (five minutes’ drive) and the seaside Torre Talao (10 minutes), or get to grips with traditions by finding out about local produce at Museo del Cedro (five minutes), spicing things up at the Chilli Museum (10 minutes) or checking out local clothing at Museo Arti Gusto Buonvicino (25 minutes). Sticking to the seaside, grazie? There are plenty of sandy stretches to seek out within a 20-minute drive, or you may like to take a trip to Cirella island – it’s 600 metres off the shoreline, so you can kayak over or pedal a pedalo.

All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorisation from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs are required to wear a muzzle.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
