Liked: Very clean facilities. Large level pitch with hedge each side giving a degree of privacy. Views over surrounding hills and countryside. Extensive network of footpaths and cycle routes in vicinity. Some are hilly so you may have to choose relative to your ability. 20 minute walk into centre of town.

Liked: Well organised campsite with a nice view. I liked that the barrier reads your car registration so you could leave and arrive anytime. Facilities were clean and adequate, and the staff were helpful and informative. Less than 10 minute drive from Brilon which is a lovely town with nice restaurants. The pitch was a good size.

Liked: Great customer service, we were arriving after 5pm but after informing the reception about it, we’ve been booked in advanced and received an email with our pitch number and all the relevant information how to find it and our van reg had been registered for the gates so when we arrived, the gates opened and we found our pitch without a problem. The facilities were excellent, plenty of hot showers, wash room with a washing machine and a dryer, all in immaculate condition. Great generous pitches. Friendly staff. Beautiful countryside.

Liked: de ruime en goed met hoge hagen afgeschermde sta-plaatsen en het ruime moderne en schone sanitair. Erg handig vond ik ook het automatisch openen van de slagbomen op kentekenherkennning. Door de gunstige ligging van de camping, vlak bij een kruising van doorgaande wegen, zijn de vele wandelingen en natuurgebieden in de omgeving goed bereikbaar. Ook gunstig gelegen voor fietsers en mountainbikkers.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch (large)

Liked: Met het mooie uitzicht. De lokatie van de camping is heel mooi.

Disliked: Wij stonden in een kuil waardoor het vrij drassig was tijdens en na de regenbuien. Dat was minder fijn.

Local attractions

This handsome part of North Rhine-Westphalia is famed for the outdoor activities of the Sauerland, from sailing, scuba diving, hiking and cycling any time you fancy, to skiing and other winter sports in the colder months. Walking and hiking trails start straight from the site, including the 154-kilometre Rothaarsteig path, running all the way to Dillenburg on the German-Dutch Orange Route. For cycling, the Sauerland has over 1,700 kilometres of trails to tackle, on terrain to suit all levels from easy-going cyclists to determined mountain bikers. Winter sports are a kilometre away at the ski resort of Poppenberg and at the snowy sports centre of Winterberg, 30 kilometres away. A big outdoor pool is within 15 minutes' walk; by car, it's the same amount of time to Lagunen-Erlebnisbad Willingen, a centre with two subtropical indoor pools, two outdoor pools, a Jacuzzi and a spa complex with steam baths, plunge pools and saunas. If you'd rather get into the water in natural surroundings, try the scuba diving at the former quarry of See Im Berg, 10 minutes' drive from the site. For a family day out, greet the animals at Wild- und Freizeitpark Willingen, under 20 kilometres away.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.
Modifications are subject to a €7.50 (£6.47) fee.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Occupancy

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Reception

Reception is open from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. between 01/01 and 23/10.
Reception is unmanned after 4 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Open fires are prohibited.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
