Liked This is a really lovely site which is well maintained by owners who clearly take great pride in it, they're always working and gardening to keep it looking beautiful. It's clean and tidy throughout, peaceful, calm, a very well run site. The location is very good, in a quiet rural spot, but the supermarket and small town are only a few minutes drive away, and it's a good base for days out. There's a choice of pitch sizes, ours was huge, and the pitches have trees separating them which we loved for the privacy and for the shade.

Liked De hartelijke ontvangst door Philippe en Marie. De zeer grote plaats, de mooie beplanting en aankleding van de camping. Daarnaast het lekkere verse brood iedere ochtend en de vers gebakken friet van Marie.

Liked Very friendly and helpful staff, very large pitch (probably the biggest I have ever stayed on), the facilities were clean and tidy. Although we only stayed one night en-route between Bologna and Calais, it was a great visit.

A beautiful well maintained site and wonderful owners. A little herb garden to add some flavour to our meals. Appreciated to book swap and all those lovely cycling routes by the river.
We will definitely come again it was first class - booked x3 days and stayed 6

Liked Absolutely lovely site, possibly the most chilled and relaxed stay of our tour, sadly just passing through. There was small issue with the barrier not letting us in at the start but the owner said he’d give us a free night if we came back! The bar and restaurant a must, very quick service, tidy site and good loos and showers.

Liked Really nice low key campsite, calm and no fuss atmosphere, very friendly owners. Lots of trees. The tent spots are massive. No need to book an XL. Toilets block very clean.

Disliked Noisy at night with music and a party which I don’t think was at the campsite but somewhere nearby.

Local attractions

Wine-based days are within day-trip distance: take tours, taste the wares and pick up single bottles or several cases – all up to you. The Burgundy region is an hour’s drive away, and the vineyards and wineries around Mâcon about 20 minutes or so. From Mâcon, follow the wine trail down the banks of the Saône river as far as Beaujolais, calling into numerous vineyards that overlook the river as you go. (Should you prefer to head straight to Beaujolais, it’s about a 50-minute drive). A spot of gentle exercise is almost certainly a good idea too when your hols are likely to involve much guzzling: walks close to the site take in the wetlands that are a real birdwatching haven, and villages full of timbered farmhouses with decorative Saracen chimneys to keep an eye out for. Horse and pony riding trips run from an equestrian centre five minutes’ drive away, or head to Mâcon for a pleasant paddle on the waters of the Saône in a canoe or kayak.
