What customers say

This campsite receives consistent praise for its stunning lakeside location, offering direct access to the water for swimming and paddleboarding, as well as being perfectly situated on the cycle path around Lake Annecy. Guests frequently highlight the warm welcome and helpfulness of the reception staff, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the beautiful scenery. Proximity to Annecy town and local amenities like supermarkets and bakeries is also a significant plus. Minor criticisms include the lack of toilet paper and hand soap in some bathroom areas, occasional sloping pitches requiring levellers, and basic showers.

Electric optional grass and earth pitch

Liked Easy check in and reasonable price. First impressions are a lovely site and great location with gated access to the lake path.

Our pitch was only just long enough to fit our van (5.98m long) but was plenty wide enough. Unfortunately, the weather had been wet for a few days so the pitch was a bit muddy but our outdoor mats kept most of the mud out. The electric point was quite a distance away and even though we have 2 cables (total 25 metres) we had to juggle the route of the cable and lay it across the neighbours pitch to reach. Levelling blocks were needed, which wasn't a problem.

We were closer to the smaller toilet block and can't comment on the other block. The block we used was very clean &, as we had found with a couple of sites, there were no toilet seats, toilet roll or hand soap provided. I had already read this on the reviews so was prepared with a drawstring 'toilet' bag containing loo roll, hand soap and some disposable toilet seat covers. I did find one of the 4 toilets that still had a seat!

Good showers even though the cubicles were a bit snug, but they were adequate, and clean.

We walked to Lidl which was about 150m/10 minutes away from the front entrance.

There are nice walks along the lake path from the back gate but as it is also a cycle path you need to watch out for bikes as you leave the site, as they speed along the path by the gate. We headed left out of the site the first night and ate in a nearby restaurant, Terracotta, which was also dog friendly, and about 20 minutes walk. The next day we headed right out of the site to a jetty/viewpoint a couple of miles away.

Overall, we had a nice stay despite the weather and enjoyed a break in the rain/clouds to see the lake in full sun.

Disliked I'm not used to toilets without seats & was glad that I was aware before we arrived - can't complain about the cleanliness as the whole toilet and shower block was always clean.
Some electric points are a long way from the pitch.

Electric optional grass and earth pitch

Liked The views of the mountains across the lake were spectacular. The proximity of the cycle track and grass shoreline were perfect. There are a small number of attractive restaurants and bars a short walk away, but Annecy town was also easily reached by bus, cycling or a longish walk.

Local attractions

If you’re holidaying with the kids, chances are you’ll venture no further than Plage Les Choseaux - Clos Berthet, five minutes’ stroll away and directly accessible from the site. Here you can swim in the clear waters of Lake Annecy, go sailing, kayaking or paddleboarding; rent gear from the watersports hub 10 minutes’ walk north of the site. However, when more thrills are required, the site owners can arrange paragliding adventures (15 minutes’ drive) so you can see the lake and mountains from a bird’s-eye perspective. Travelling with younger kids? Take them to meet the deer herds at the Parc Animalier des Dronières (45 minutes), where there’s also an outdoor play area. Energetic youngsters can also bounce around on the trampolines at Katapult (also 45 minutes), or test their stamina on treetop rope courses at Le Grand Parc d’Andilly (50 minutes). The gracious old town of Annecy (15 minutes) entices you in with its medieval Palais de I’Île, artworks in the Musée-Château d’Annecy and bridges lined with flowers. Bistros, bars and souvenir shops pack alleys along the Canal du Vassé, and you can take boat trips around the lake from the Quai de la Tournette. Be sure to stop off at the gleaming-white Basilique de la Visitation (also 15 minutes) to discover its light-flooded marble interior and glimpse incomparable views over Lake Annecy.
