Camping Les Myosotis

This is a properly nifty base for an active or relaxed holiday: take yourself first to the lakeside beach 800 metres away for some swimming, fishing and sailing or knocking a ball expertly about (or not) on the tennis court next to it. More activity is yours for the taking at the splendid town of Évian-les-Bains, where there are watersports and equestrian centres, miniature golf, an 18-hole golf course, and kit to go diving, waterskiing or summer boating on the lake. As it's a spa town, there's a wellness centre too, and you must also of course ensure to take the Évian waters while here. If you're up for paragliding, travel along to the ski resort of Thollon-les-Mémises 10 kilometres away, a stellar gliding area popular with the brave. Back on terra firma, the resort is also a handy starting point for plenty of walks and hikes. You can get to Switzerland easily from here: visit French-speaking Martigny about an hour away for museums and spectacular views, as well as access to trips to Chamonix on the Mont Blanc Express, and from Martigny to Orsières on the St Bernard Express; for scenery seekers, both are much, much recommended.
