Liked We had a fantastic stay at this campsite! The scenery was absolutely picturesque, with stunning views all around and a peaceful, natural atmosphere. One of the highlights was the beautiful lake nearby — perfect for swimming and relaxing on warm days. The facilities were clean, and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

Disliked Bring your own toilet roll.
The pitches were not separated, so a bit more privacy would have been nice.

Liked C'est un camping calme. Idéal pour les couples sans enfants ou avec de jeunes enfants. Le tipi était exactement ce que nous recherchions. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par la cuisine extérieure.
Il y avait également une borne de recharge rapide pour voitures électriques à proximité du camping.

Disliked Nous avons réservé sur le site web de Pitchup, qui indiquait que le gaz et l'électricité étaient inclus. Cependant, après quelques jours, on nous a annoncé qu'il fallait payer un supplément pour le gaz de cuisine.
Les douches étaient un peu froides.
Pas de pain ni d'épicerie

Rambles abound in the alpine foothills; stroll up to the single-span Pont Roman (15 minutes’ walk) for views over the Ubaye River, or take the route up to the Fontaine de l’Ours (two hours and 20 minutes) for the kids to find the wooden bear sculpture among the pine trees. For a longer hike, take the car up to Lac du Lauzerot (50 minutes’ drive, have a swim while you’re there) and set out on foot through alpine pastures to the natural springs at the Source de Jérusalem (three hours and 40 minutes’ walk) mountain viewpoint. Ramp up activity levels even further with white-water rafting on the Ubaye River Gorge (five minutes) or canyoning along its steep sides. See how monks once lived with tour of the Romanesque church and peaceful, flower-filled cloisters at Abbaye Notre-Dame de Boscodon (40 minutes’ drive), or follow the steep former military trail some 8,000 feet up into the mountains to the Fort de Dormillouse (half an hour) to watch paragliders floating around the mountain peaks.
