Liked Nice big pitches with electric and water. Had an excellent burger in the little Restaurant.
e stopped off for just one nightm heading up to Calais for the ferry home, between Christmas and New year, so a lot of the things were closed, but it certainly looks like a fun place for a family holiday.

Liked Lots of facilities, very helpful staff, great restaurant

Disliked If you want to be away from 2 coach-loads of teenagers, don’t choose pitch 5! Lots of shower doors banging for no reason. Also, pitch 5 was supposed to be superior but I’m not sure how it was different than any other pitch

Regarding pitch 5, it is one of our Premium pitches, which includes a private cabanon equipped with a fridge, two deckchairs, a parasol and a picnic table (features not included with our standard pitches). We're sorry if this was not clearly communicated or didn't meet your expectations.

Liked Large pitch with good clean amenities. Characterful site which kids would love. Some lovely places to visit within a half hour drive.

Disliked Prices in the shop for drinks, for some the cost would prove prohibitive. The pool was really rather small for the number of potential guests, even accepting the alternative of the lagoon. The biggest gripe was the thumping base that woke me up at approximately 20 minutes past midnight, from a function being held centrally near the pool. This continued for a number of hours. The bass and the volume could have been reduced to allow all guests to enjoy their break.

Local attractions

The superstar setting of Domaine de Dienné is half an hour's drive from Poitiers and 35 minutes from Futuroscope. As the second-oldest university town in France (after Paris), Poitiers has a lively nightlife and a busy calendar of cultural activities and social events. It's a fine old town to potter around by day too, taking one of the three coloured circuits (red, yellow or blue) around famed sights like the baptistry, cathedral and church of Notre-Dame, the historic centre, and around the Parc de Blossac. Pick up info on all three trails at the Poitiers tourist office, next to the cathedral. Thrill-seekers and outdoorsy people can try climbing the treetop obstacle courses with routes for all abilities at FUN FOREST (35 minutes) or Aven'Thuré (55 minutes). For a combo of nature and adventure, make your way to Park "La Belle" (20 minutes) too, which has peaceful flower gardens and cabins. Fans of animals should also appreciate La Vallée Des Singes (40 minutes), a wildlife park where you can get up close and personal with primate species.
