Camping La Prévoté

Bring your bikes or hire on site, for there’s much to see on two wheels around here: short jaunts through the surrounding woods, perhaps, or longer stretches of the Vélodyssée cycle path (the 1,200-kilometre route runs along the entire length of France’s Atlantic coast). The bike-friendly islands of Île d’Yeu and Noirmoutier are both easily accessed from here too. You can use those bikes to get to the beach, or take a 20-minute woodland walk to hit the sands. The waters here are great for swimming, surfing, windsurfing and jetskiing, and there are sailing, surf and kayak lessons to be had for those who need a few tips on technique. Days out nearby include the prehistory-themed Dino’s Park, zooming down the waterslides at Atlantic Toboggan and rides and games at Parc des Dunes; all are within half an hour’s drive. The safari trail, bush walk and dolphin shows of Planète Sauvage are around a 45-minute drive away.
