Liked: Great site, lots of kid's about but still very quiet. Well laid out with great facilities and helpful staff. Great local dog walks and very close to the town. We would fully recommend this site and hope to visit again soon.

Liked: The pool was cold but clean and tidy. The pitches were I think the best we've ever been in as had lots of room and privacy. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Amenities building was always clean and toilet roll always restocked. Would definitely recommend!

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Brilliant clean pool, facilities immaculately clean, lovely showers, nice little park and large play area in centre for children. Lovely 15/20 min walk to town can get all you need. Butchers, bakery, bars restaurants shops. Can order bread to collect in the morning at reception and croissants , Will definitely be back.

Disliked: Sad we left after 3 days of being here. If only every camp site was like this.

Liked: Nice little site on the river sarthe with a short walk along the river in to the town. Site is well kept and clean, staff really friendly and helpful, good shower/toilet block always kept clean, pitches were great sizes with hedges all round, good playpark and other activities for children.

Disliked: Limited opening hours of bar. Night before we were leaving I put items in my awning I needed next morning and a couple of items were stolen.

Liked: Pitches are large flat and hedged which gives privacy. Plenty of hot water and cleaning facilities Swimming pool can get a little crowded. Campsite is right on the the river. You can use your own boats or rent kayaks. Staff are welcoming and helpful. A short walk into the town along the river was nice.

Local attractions

There’s nothing like messing about on the river, and you can hire canoes, paddleboards and pedalos on the waterside to potter down the Sarthe, or stroll down to the quay for organised cruises past the grand 18th-century castle in Sablé-sur-Sarthe (five minutes’ walk). There’s masses for culture vultures too, with exhibitions on monastic life at Abbaye Saint-Pierre de Solesmes (10 minutes’ drive), and frescoes at St.Hilary Church in the medieval village of Asnières-sur-Vègre (20 minutes). Le Mans (an hour) mixes up Roman and Renaissance architecture, and in Angers (45 minutes) you can explore castles, museums and botanical gardens. Treat the kids to sea lion shows at Zoo de la Flèche (40 minutes), or take them deep underground to see prehistoric remains in the Valley of the Caves of Saulges (30 minutes). And who could resist the chance to dig into regional shortbread after a tour of one of Sablé-sur-Sarthe’s famous biscuit manufacturers?

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
Entertainment and activities are available between 15/07 and 15/08.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Public areas are non-smoking.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The grocery shop is open between 06/04 and 29/09.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
You'll need an Environment Agency rod licence (you'll need to apply for this beforehand).

Hired accommodation

Hired accommodation: €300.00 (£256.92) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.
Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of €50.00 (£42.82) will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

Occupancy

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.

Pitches

Pitches: a €30.00 (£25.69) deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure when returning the gate badge/barrier pass/toilet keys.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
Please note there is no lifeguard on duty.
Swimsuits are obligatory and swimming shorts or Bermuda shorts are not permitted.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 12/06 and 12/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception

If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
Reception is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. between 01/07 and 25/08.
Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. between 06/04 - 30/06 and 26/08 - 29/09.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
Open fires are prohibited.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
