What customers say

This peaceful campsite is ideally located next to a lake, offering pleasant walks and cycling opportunities, with Nantes a short drive away. Pitches are generally large and private, and staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful. Facilities include clean showers with good hot water, though some reviews mention a lack of hair dryers and limited wash cubicles. While the site is undergoing modernisation, some visitors reported issues with cleanliness, unloved areas, and noise from nearby roads.

Electric grass and earth pitch (comfort)

Liked Lovely campsite with large pitches. Clean facilities. Lovely covered swimming pool. Can order breakfast at reception. Supermarket just across the road if needed.

Disliked Our day was ruined as we planned to go into Nantes. We asked the male receptionist to book us a taxi and he refused to call for us. He gave us a number however it wouldn't connect with our phones. He said to what's app, but it wouldn't work either. We asked kindly if he could call for us. But he wouldn't. So after many failed attempts trying to book a bolt Driver also, we have up and had to spend the day at the campsite again. Meaning we will miss going to Nantes now.

Electric grass and earth pitch (comfort)

Liked Very nice site, good sized pitch. Lovely location - we were right near the lake access which was beautiful and was great for a stroll on the lovely sunny day we stayed.
Check in was easy, finding the pitch was easy.
Toilets and showers were always clean when we used them and no queuing, but it wasn’t hugely busy. The shop seemed to be in reception and was very basic but sold nice cider.

Disliked A little expensive for a single night we felt, especially as we didn’t see any dump facilities for our camper’s grey water and toilet cassette which we needed. We ended up spending 4 euro to use a campervan Aire just next to the site to do this.

Electric grass and earth pitch (comfort)

Liked Campsite was ok. It was clean with everything you need. There was a fabulous lake just outside the park, with water sport etc.

Disliked The snack bar was outside the camp, because of that the site lacks sole.

Electric grass and earth pitch (comfort)

Liked Good location for the lake .
Supermarket was 5 min walk .
Good size pitch .
Lots of shade and sun available .

Disliked The wash facilities were very poor for the size of the camp.
Only 5 ladies cubicles . Dirty wash basin . No hand dryer/paper towels available .
Only 2 male cubicles and one urinal.
No toilet paper available in the morning until the cleaner arrived at 9:30. No hair dryers.
The showers were left in a state . The site had a large group of people staying at the weekend and the site team should have been increased to help with the cleaning of this area .

Disliked The site appeared unloved and disorganised.
Shower facilities were clean, but skylights needed cobwebs removing. In general the lack of attention to detail overgrown vegetation. During the morning between the hours of 07:00 - 09:00 the noise of road traffic was very loud

Electric grass and earth pitch (comfort)

Liked Welcomed on arrival by the owner , given a choice of pitches .. we stayed on number 22 close to the lake .. what a beautiful view on an evening .
The site is very clean and spacious and offers different options for overnight stays including a motorhome aire.
The showers are hot and there are plenty of plug sockets for straighteners, hairdryers , shavers etc .
We used the washing machine for a small charge of 5 euros.
This really is a family friendly site and also welcomes dogs ...
There is a play area , games and a pool on site, located nearby is a tennis court and by the lake and adventure centre.

The local supermarket , petrol station is directly across the road and the local town is a 15 minutes walk away.

The owner and the staff are really lovely and very approachable .

Would we stay again ..... Absolutely

Local attractions

For big-city adventures, head for historic Nantes (25 minutes’ drive) to tour the mighty medieval Château des Ducs de Bretagne, towering over the Loire River, and spot the ornate marble tombs of French royalty in the Gothic-style cathedral. Culture all done, hop aboard the gigantic animatronic Grand Éléphant and take a walking tour of the Île de Nantes, before heading to a Place du Bouffay bar for a glass of local Muscadet wine. To see history brought to life in a spectacular way, flit between theatrical extravaganzas – with casts of hundreds – featuring Roman gladiator battles and Viking longboat sieges at Puy du Fou theme park (55 minutes), where you can also watch birds of prey in flight and blacksmiths at work. If a day at the seaside is requested, head to the sweeping bay at La Baule-Escoublac (an hour and 10 minutes), which has beach clubs for the kids and gentle waves safe for swimming. If the tide’s going out, see if you can spot ‘The Ocean Snake’ sculpture by Chinese artist Huang Yong Ping as it appears from the waves at Saint-Brevin-les-Pins (an hour).
