What customers say

This small, friendly campsite offers a pleasant, tranquil environment with many charming animals roaming free, including rabbits and chickens. Reviewers praise the exceptionally clean and well-maintained facilities, spacious and private pitches, and the warm, helpful staff. Amenities like the snack bar serving tasty food and free WiFi are highlighted. While most guests have no dislikes, a few mention occasional unstaffed reception, muddy pitches after rain, and the lack of toilet paper in facilities. The site is considered excellent value and highly recommended for a relaxing rural stay or as a base for exploring the region.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch

Liked Pleasant environment with lots of cute animals. Good clean facilities. Helpful staff.

Disliked Reception was not always staffed the advertised hours. Pitch was a bit muddy and I was worried about getting stuck.

Electric optional grass tent or campervan pitch

Liked Warm and friendly welcome, lovely pitches, very well set out site, beautiful trees, gorgeous rabbits hopping about, buzzy snack bar serving tasty food. Ability to order delicious (and still warm) croissants and bread. Free WiFi. Excellent value for money.

Disliked A small point: having to pay with cash and not card - which resulted in both us and another couple spending less than we wanted to in the snack bar (due to our limited cash supplies!). PITCH UP: please make it super clear on the website that cards are not accepted. However, I’d urge the site to buy a card machine.

Electric optional grass tent or campervan pitch

Liked The spacious pitches in nature with chickens and rabbits roaming was charming, tranquil and very well kept. The toilets and shower area / washing up facilities were scrupulously clean, private and enough for the size of size - it all worked well. The snack bar was really good and some home produced dishes including one of the best burgers I’ve eaten. And - the hosts were attentive and fun- great service. Definitely recommend and I would stay again.

Disliked The area was nice, but not cycling tracks that I could find so on road cycling. A couple of really nice restaurants at Pontchâteau and Herbignac - Calvere was spectacular but not too much else without having to drive.

Local attractions

A visit to the salt marshes of Brière Regional Natural Park is a must, whether you head out on foot or take a guided tour on a traditional flat-bottomed boat (20 minutes’ drive away). While you’re touring your surroundings, stop by at Le calvaire de Pontchâteau (five minutes), to see the life-sized Stations of the Cross statues at this atmospheric religious site, which was partially destroyed before being restored in 1821. Trip to the coast? You’ll have a huge choice of places to go – perhaps the long sandy beaches of Pénestin (half an hour) or any of the cliffs and coves along the Côte d’Amour (40 minutes) or Côte de Jade (45 minutes). The fishing ports of La Turballe (40 minutes) and Le Croisic (55 minutes) are well worth a visit, as is the lovely medieval walled town of Guérande (half an hour). For family days out, leap across the floating inflatables at Espace Quilly (20 minutes), experience getting close up to a huge submarine at Sous-marin Espadon (half an hour).
