What customers say

This is a quiet, clean, and well-located site, praised for its friendly owners and spacious hardstanding pitches, offering good value for an overnight stop or stopover. While some guests noted the lack of basic facilities like water and a chemical toilet, these were generally expected and communicated in advance. The manager has confirmed a bin is on order, and drinking water is available on request. The site is ideal for those seeking a peaceful rural setting with convenient access to the motorway and local attractions.

Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked Location was nice, cows baying in the background, quiet location. Would be even better in the summer. Owners very nice.

Disliked Arriving in the dark and not knowing what EHU connection I needed (my fault!). Not there long enough to enjoy the area, sad!

Local attractions

This area saw a lot of action during World War I, and there are a couple of intriguing historic remnants to seek out while you're out exploring the local countryside. These include the eerie structures of Camp Marguerre (15 minutes’ drive) and the stark concrete walls of Trench of Bayonets (20 minutes). A wander around the destroyed village of Fleury-devant-Douaumont (25 minutes) is also a sobering experience. To learn a little bit more about how the war unfolded here, stop in at the Verdun Memorial (20 minutes) en route to Verdun itself (25 minutes). Once you're in the city, head underground to the historic citadel, visit the cathedral and take walks along the banks of the Meuse. For other days out, take a walk around Longuyon (20 minutes) to see the Romanesque-Gothic church before taking a swim in the pool, or spend some time learning about ancient crafts at Les Vieux Métiers (20 minutes). A day out in Metz (55 minutes) is also a good bet, to take in attractions from the Gothic cathedral to the ultra-modern Centre Pompidou-Metz.
