Liked Fabulous site and made to feel very welcome by Pauline and Grégoire the owners.
Very short walk from campsite to Montolieur which is a small artisan town and well worth a visit.
Bus stop to Carcassonne was just outside the campsite opposite the local council swimming pool.

Local attractions

A château visit is almost obligatory around here: perhaps to the remains of Château de Saissac (15 minutes’ drive), or to the Châteaux de Lastours (half an hour), where no fewer than four castles peer down on the village from their hilltop setting. And for those with something of an interest in their vino, surely a stop at one (or all) of the area’s wineries must also be on the cards – there are several within a 20-minute drive, so take your pick. Got the kids in tow? Perhaps dial down on the wine-based tourism and instead aim for the antipodean animal park Le Parc Australien (half an hour) or underground exploration at the Gouffre de Cabrespine (45 minutes). If you only make it to one day out around here though, it really should be Carcassonne (20 minutes), famed for its fairytale hilltop medieval citadel and 12th-century castle; it’s also a handy place to board boat trips along the Canal du Midi.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site will send you further check-in information 7 day(s) before your arrival.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
Entertainment and activities are available between 15/07 and 15/08.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The restaurant is open between 15/05 and 30/09.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Hired accommodation

No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of €80.00 (£69.40) will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 3 or more units travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
Group bookings of 6 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
Single-sex bookings of 6 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

Pitches

Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with the management. Please speak to reception when the need arises, a fee may be charged for unsupervised units.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
Reception is closed from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.. No arrivals are permitted between these times.
Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. between 04/07 and 30/08.
Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. between 20/04 - 04/07 and 31/08 - 18/10.
Reception is unmanned after 7 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
