Pool looks amazing but we don’t get to use it.

Disliked I’m so upset and disappointed with this site.

It’s absolutely beautiful and has a nice pool and restaurant not that we used them due to timings.

However we were unable to sleep and my husband had to keep watch in the car overnight as we were quite frightened and didn’t feel safe.

Three times over three hours between 12-3am someone repeatedly came to our tent and threw stones at our car and tent. We have two young children with us and this was unacceptable behaviour from the person who should have known better or had a parent with them to supervise.

I had to try and find someone at around 3am so I could try and get my passport back so we could leave in the night. No one on site had the key to the restaurant or reception.

Why was no one available to help us on site. And why was my passport kept. No where else has done that but just checked it and gave it back.

The security team available to us were mostly teenagers from what I could see - maybe early twenties. They were really kind but it wasn't a professional service.

A lovely lady from the creperie and her husband were part of security and they were very kind but didn’t speak much English. My French was enough to get us help and they did patrol the area a couple of times.

There were motorbikes being ridden around the site most of the night.

There was incredibly loud music playing from the bar which had been advertised but it went on until 2am. We were not given any warning about this or perhaps we would have tried to find somewhere else.

The facilities had no toilet paper or soap - we found out the next morning whilst checking out that you have to bring them with you or you have to buy these from the shop.

There is no water tap but there is a green box with a hose pipe!

When we tried to leave they had locked the barrier and we were unable to get through. When we spoke to them at reception they were extremely unsympathetic and told us we couldn’t leave until we had paid the €3.60 tax which I was unaware of as when I had been to reception that morning to get my passport I was asked if I had paid and I said yes. The tax wasn’t mentioned or I would have paid it.

Please could you investigate our complaint fully and respond back to us. I have already emailed a guy at pitchup who helped us as the site said they couldn’t find our booking - however have heard nothing back since I emailed on Saturday. We should have taken it as a sign not to stay!

Liked Pool is fantastic. The bar by the pool is great, pitches very flat and nice soft ground. On site crêperie served delicious food. The whole vibe on the campsite was really relaxed.

Disliked No toilet paper in the toilets, need to provide your own.

Liked The swimming pool. Kids had lots of fun going on the slides and there was plenty of sun beds to use.

Disliked The cleaning, shower and toilet facilities can only be described as disgusting. They are passed there best and not cleaned to a high enough spec. The toilets were particularly unclean. They were only cleaned once a day. The mini golf also had broken glass in one of the holes and despite alerting staff to this they did not remove the glass and it stayed being a danger to others.
Residents of the camp site were also unfriendly and it never felt like a completely safe area for kids to wander around.

Liked We stayed with friends/family in the open camping area on the far side of the lake and it was lovely. A very relaxed environment with clean toilet/shower areas. The kids loved paddleboarding on the lake and pool on site was nice too. You can order fresh bakery items at reception to be delivered the following morning with was excellent. Supermarket's, petrol etc all within a short drive and several railway links to Paris etc if desired.

Disliked Sink and shower were very dirty, luckily had a sink in our van and I avoided the shower as thankfully we were only there for 2 nights

Liked Great site with lots to do including g swimming, chilling and golf 18 holes crazy golf - allow hours.

Motorhome service point at reception including water.

Disliked Barrier code did not work and if leaving early for ferry you may be in trouble as staff start after 9.

Also as we were enjoying our stay they allocated our pitch to another family not even the day we were leaving. Sorted but not great

Very remote.

Liked This is our 4th visit on our journeys east/ south and we love the swimming lake. The pitches are all large with lots of trees for shade. The campsite is very big but also very peaceful and well maintained.

Disliked The swimming pool gets really busy as its also the local pool and open to the public.

The toilet blocks are a bit dated but generally clean and well maintained.
