Check this out for a special location – Camping Le Jardin de Sully is a spacious and family-friendly site right on the banks of the River Loire, just across the bridge from the pretty town of Sully-sur-Loire and its famous château. Set within a protected area of woodland, this is a gorgeous spot for a relaxing holiday, with lots of attractions and activities close by. From this handy location it’s easy to get out for a walk along the banks of the Loire, a bike ride in Orléans Forest or canoe or kayak trip along the river (in fact, you can launch direct from the site, or hire your craft about 100 metres away). And of course there are lots of splendid châteaux, museums and other places to visit in the surrounding area too. That means getting out and about from here has a lot to offer – but then so does staying on site, where you’ll be able to swim in the pool (open in July and August), have a workout at the fitness area or play games of miniature golf, tennis, pétanque, volleyball and basketball. Kids can make use of the play area and games room or join in with the various activities laid on for them in the summer (sports, crafts, outdoor games… something for all tastes). Being so close to Sully-sur-Loire (about a 20-minutes walk to the centre) means you’ll have easy access to its shops and restaurants, but to make things even simpler in the summer months (July and August) you can pick up meals on site at the snack bar or order bread and pastries to be delivered for your breakfast.
