Calm and peaceful may be the watchwords at family-friendly Camping La Potinière in the Indre, but you’ll certainly never be stuck for something to do. Pitches overlook a fishing lake, you have direct access to wildflower meadows and walks along the River Tourmente (handy if you’ve got a dog with you) and the wetland walkways of the Parc Naturel Régional de la Brenne (25 minutes’ drive) are close at hand too. Once you’ve settled in, let younger kids loose on the climbing frames at the play area, or grab your fishing rod and head for the lake to catch something tasty to cook on the barbecue. If that’s not too successful, cut your losses and head into Écueillé (10 minutes’ walk) to pick up foodie supplies. No need to worry about breakfast anyway, as there’s a delivery service for fresh bread and croissants every morning during high season – just make your order at reception, and while you’re there, you can find out all about the local visitor hotspots. Site facilities include constant hot water in the shower block, a laundry service and a secure lock-up for bicycles.

Liked Accueil chaleureux et professionnel du gérant. Terrain de camping basique avec une moquette épaisse de pelouse fleurie , grand emplacement 125 M2 , arboré, tranquille . Sanitaires très corrects . Jeux proposés tennis de table, foot.
Mais surtout, plan d'eau magnifique attenant avec jeux pour enfants et le must 23km, 23 minutes du zoo de Beauval, le but de notre visite !

Liked Camp manager (Frank) was very friendly and helpful. As I arrived late, when all local restaurants were closed, he facilitated me ordering a takeaway away pizza

Disliked Loud music played by local people at 2:30am to 4:30am. No refreshment options on site. No power to charge devices on site

Liked Large grass pitches. On the edge of a park which had a lovely lake. Good showers.

Disliked There’s no staff at the site , communication by text. Facilities are fine but need to be cleaned. Over priced compared to other French camp sites we’ve stayed in on this trip
