Looking over the river from the site

  • Site 10 minutes' walk from a river beach for swimming and fishing
  • Cosy bar on site specialising in local Breton beers
  • Easy access to Dinan, Dinard, Cancale and Saint-Malo
A flowery welcome awaits at Camping de la Ville Ger in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany's north-west – as do a river beach and boat trips, canoeing and seal spotting, and a bar lined with many a Breton beer to sample… sound good? Splendid holiday setting: sorted. A beach on the Rance river is a mere 10 minutes' walk away from the site's setting near Pleudihen-sur-Rance, making it great for long leisurely days of lazily basking on the gently sloping beach, or swimming, fishing and canoeing in its calm waters. Several kilometres of hiking trails are alongside the river (you might spot a seal or two on the rocks in nearby Mordreuc) and the town makes a good base for visiting the attractions of the north-west coast of France, such as medieval Dinan and the famed island of Mont Saint-Michel. Brittany's capital Rennes is under 50 kilometres away. But you'll probably be waiting to hear about the Breton beers… The site bar has them as a speciality, so you can work your way through the lot throughout your holiday and then start sampling all over again, all among the spectacular river views of the bar terrace. The bar also sells snacks; barbecues are allowed on site, and supplies can be sorted in Pleudihen-sur-Rance: it should be pointed out that this is a town known for its Breton cider… A games room, playground and pétanque court are also on site; amenities include a launderette, a washing-up area with dishwashers and washrooms with toilets and hot showers.

What customers say

This is a peaceful, rural campsite set in an orchard with lovely estuary views, ideal for exploring St Malo. Pitches are spacious and level. Visitors praised the friendly, helpful owners and the on-site bar with its extensive beer selection. Facilities are basic but generally clean, though some mention they are dated and limited in number, especially during busy periods. It's highly recommended for quiet stopovers or as a base for local exploration.

Electric optional grass motorhome pitch

Liked Perfect location, so quiet, yet only 30 minutes from the beaches and shops. (St Malo, Dinan and Dinard)
Ideal as a last stop before catching the St Malo ferry.
Stunning views all around with plenty of picnic tables in front of the bar to sit and watch the boats go by whilst having a drink or snack.
At the end of a cul-de-sac so no traffic, plus plenty of walks if you’re that way inclined.
Very friendly owners who are only too happy to help.
A bar is attached to the site (also run by the sites owners) which has an amazing selection of local brews plus a small selection of food available (pizzas, pates and toast or a variety of French sausage). - Ice creams also available
The toilet block is clean and serviceable with separate male and female sections.
7 showers and 4 toilets for only 40 pitches so plenty to go around.
Well kept, level, grassed ground (partial orchard) with wildlife all around (including deer).
Wi-Fi is available but we didn't use as we had 5G connection.
Prices are excellent compared to a lot of other local sites - everyone there said it was brilliant and would definitely go there again - I can recommend this to anyone.

Disliked No toilet seats (but this does seem to be the norm) - remember to take your own toilet paper and hand wash soap as none provided.
