Disabled bathroom full of cleaning equipment, shower completely buried. no attempt to clear it

Toilet was usable and clean, had to move airer and boots to get to it. i was made to feel a nuisance

Enormous beach. couldnt see the sea when tide was out.

This was pur pitch, very large and confortable

Liked Great location next to beach and easy access to train and buses.

Disliked Facilities were not always that clean and no toilet roll or soap in men's or ladies toilets

Liked Pitch size was ok for a small van only

Disliked Facilities were dated and grubby. The gates were locked during the day so you could only access the site again after 5pm and then they closed again at 8pm so you couldn’t get back in. The only option was to stay in the car park!

From the manager: Nous sommes désolés de constater que vous avez été insatisfait de votre séjour dans notre camping. Nous mettons tout en oeuvre pour accueillir tous les vacanciers sur notre terrain de camping, mais en ce début de saison, nous avons été contraints de déplacer et stocker du matériel dans des espaces inappropriés. Nous aurions apprécié que vous nous indiquiez que vous souhaitiez utiliser les sanitaires PMR et bien évidemment, ils auraient été disponibles dès votre arrivée. Ils le sont d'ailleurs maintenant, pour tous nos vacanciers qui nous rejoindront durant cet été 2025.

Liked Lovely friendly welcome from reception. Could choose own pitch. Toilets/ washrooms adequately cleaned. Had a great warm shower. Beach just outside the side gate. 10 minute walk to bar/ restaurant/ bakery.

Disliked Only WiFi signal is by reception.
No toilet paper or soap in the toilets.
Electric supply is very poor. Had to turn off the fridge to use the kettle… kept tripping. You can only leave and re-enter the site when reception is open 8am-12pm and 5pm -7.30pm. after 8pm you have no chance. By the beach…. It is not a beach it is a tidal estuary

Liked Pitches were really big, plenty of toilets.showers worked well.
2 minute walk to the beach. All you need within a 5 minute walk loads to do in the area. Loved it.

Disliked Could do with more showers but we went quiet season (may) so we didn't have to wait to use the shower. Take your toilet roll with you. Mens toilets didn't have seats which is normal for certain parts of france.

Disliked It was difficult to find as it didn’t have the same name as the pitch up site. The site was not well kept with small pitches. The welcome was not friendly or helpfully the electricity needed really long cables to reach - too long for us. And then they kicked us out at 9.30 which meant a very unrelaxing morning

Local attractions

Kids (and big kids) can greet the lambs, calves and piglets at La Coccinelle (35 minutes’ walk). The farm park also has slides, log flume and rollercoasters for a bigger thrill. With more leisure parks and inland lakes in Arcachon (15 minutes’ journey by public transport), this site is set up nicely for family breaks. Being positioned right on the coastal path, there are lots of places your feet can take you, too. Wild landscapes include the Dune of Pilat (around two hours and 20 minutes’ walk), the tallest sand dune in Europe, or the Réserve Ornithologique Du Teich (an hour and 45 minutes’ walk or 15 minutes’ drive), a favourite dwelling spot for a variety of birds. Take the ferry over to Le Phare du Cap Ferret (two hours’ and 35 minutes’ walk and ferry ride) to get some fabulous views of the bay (after climbing 258 steps). Port de la Teste (45 minutes’ walk) is closer by and packed with oyster farmers lugging around oyster sacks, as well as a fair few waterfront oyster restaurants.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a €23.00 (£19.14) fee.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Bookings must not be for more than 28 consecutive nights.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Pitches

A cable measuring at least 5 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. between 29/04 and 27/09.

Safety

Firearms are not permitted.
No charcoal barbecues allowed.
No gas barbecues allowed.
Open fires are prohibited.

Vehicles

No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. Cars are not permitted when travelling with a motorhome/campervan.
Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
Units longer than 7 metres are not allowed.
