Wish list for a chillout break by the Dalmatia coastline? Sea views, swimming spots, trees for shade, restaurants within easy ambling distance… something like that? That’s the setup at Relax Camp, a seaside spot five minutes’ drive from the petite resort of Pakoštane: it’s all very, well, relaxing… Peaceful pitches here have some stunning sea views, and olive trees for shade while said views are being properly admired. Can’t resist the lure of those Adriatic waters? There’s direct access to the sea from just outside the site (and a handy set of wooden steps has been installed to ensure you don’t need to do any rock clambering to exit after your swim...). Post-swim eats and drinks can be picked up in the resort 20 minutes’ walk away, or at a clutch of seafront restaurants a similar amble away in the other direction. If you’re sprucing up ahead of an evening out, do so at the site’s modern toilet block, which has separate male and female facilities. Sticking about on site to survey the sunset? Plenty of useful bits have been provided, including water and electrical connections and wifi access. If you're considering settling in for some time, this is a fine spot for stacks of days out – boat trips to the Kornati Islands set sail from Pakoštane, as do scuba diving excursions. The birdwatching haven Lake Vransko Jezero is a few minutes’ drive away, and there are three national parks within an hour and a half’s drive (Krka, Paklenica and Plitvice Lakes – take day trips from Pakoštane if you don’t fancy the drive).

Liked Prachtige plek aan een geweldig stukje strand. We hadden vanaf onze plek achter in de fijne kleine camping een prachtig uitzicht over zee en de bergen. Het was heerlijk rustig op de camping en door de terrassenindeling heb je heel veel privacy. De eigenaren zijn enorm vriendelijk, verzorgen hun camping minutieus en de toiletgebouwen zijn continu brandschoon. De zee is echt vlakbij de camping (letterlijk een trappetje af) en ook in het absolute hoogseizoen kun je hier heerlijk rustig zitten en zwemmen. We hebben hier een heerlijke week gehad. Ik had deze camping echt niet willen missen in onze reis. Ook de plaatsjes in de buurt (Biograd en Zadar) zijn mooi en de supermarkten zijn dicht in de buurt. Echt een absolute aanrader!

Liked Ruhig, sauber und gepflegter Platz. Direkter Zugang zum Meer.

Disliked Schmale Zufahrt, bzw. Zufahrt schlecht beschildert von außen.
Für Lebensmittel/ Brot etc. benötigt man mindestens ein Fahrrad. Pakoštane ist zu Fuß erreichbar allerdings ist der Weg nicht beleuchtet.

Liked Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt auf dem Campingplatz. Insgesamt war es sauber und gepflegt.

Für uns persönlich war der Platz etwas zu ruhig. Wer aber Ruhe und Erholung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Insgesamt ein schöner Platz für alle, die es gemütlich und entspannt mögen.

Liked Czyste łazienki i prysznice. Woda ciepła. Blisko a nawet bardzo blisko do morza. Podłoże kamieniste co sprawia że nie ma kurzu. Sympatyczni właściciele.

Disliked Mało miejsca na większy kamper. Wąskie wjazdy i do miasta spacerem 15 minut(w upał trochę kłopotliwe) ale na to właścicielka nie ma wpływu. Nawet przy narmalnym i niegłośnym zachowaniu właścicielka uciszała o 21 godzinie. Więc nasze zachowanie było nadwyraz ciche żeby nie powiedzieć szeptem co sprawiało dyskomfort. Może dlatego że byliśmy najbliżej prysznica i odbijało się echo.

Local attractions

Croatia’s coastline is a real stunner, and Pakoštane’s a fab spot for getting out and about to see lots of it. Fishing tours and scuba diving trips leave from the harbour here (five minutes’ drive from the site), as do boat trips to the gorgeous Kornati Islands, a national park made up of 140 uninhabited islands, along with reefs, sea caves and craggy cliffs. Over the years, lots of folk have been inspired to set up shop along this coast, and you can see what drew them here on a stroll around medieval Šibenik (35 minutes’ drive) or a wander around the city walls in Zadar (40 minutes). It’s worth seeking out the glass museum while you’re in town, and listening to melodies created by the waves at the ‘sea organ’ art installation. It’s not all about coastline in Croatia, of course – the country’s inland national parks are all well worth a visit, whether you pick the Krka National Park (40 minutes), the Paklenica National Park (50 minutes) or Plitvice Lakes (an hour and a half).
