Simply, spectacularly stunning is the superlative way to sum up the splendid Croatian site of Obonjan Island Resort... and those who like their hols to be sprog free will be chuffed to note it's strictly for big folk too.
And it's on an island. A safe, peaceful and scenic car free island, to be exact: easily reached from Šibenik port, the isle of Obonjan is one of those destinations any savvy traveller should etch on their travel bucket list: take a look at the pics to see the handsome setting of this Croatian glamping site, within easy reach of Kornati and Krka national parks and weeks' worth of activities and sightseeing.
Active adventurers as well as laidback idlers can take their pick from a plethora of stuff to see and do on and around the site: paragliding around the island from the resort's private boat, alfresco massages in the spa, cocktails by the pool and lounging around by the water as the sun sets are all top picks here... or you could take a free yoga class, laze around at the film nights, or make your way to the east harbour for jetskiing, kayaking, paddleboarding or snorkelling...
Among the plentiful food options are poolside The Kitchen (for those poolside cocktails as well as daily specials made from fresh local produce); Drift, a seaside bar on the east harbour with fruit/cocktail bar and table service direct to waterfront sun loungers, and the Green Bar, linked to the wellness centre to dish up juices, salads and raw food. You should certainly also have an evening or three at the resort's gourmet restaurant Bok, looking out onto the Adriatic and hailed by the staff as perhaps one of the prettiest restaurants in the world.
The resort also has a strong wifi connection, a grocery shop, an ATM and a cashless payment system. All facilities and leisure are within easy walking distance of the glamping accommodation.

Liked L'endroit est magnifique. Les chalets sont beaux et pratiques avec les 2 SDB et la grande terrasse.
Personnel. Serviable et sympathique.
Belle piscine.
Très bonnes pizzas et hamburgers.
Bon restaurant près de la plage, mais les serveurs prétendent que le service n'est pas compris....donc ils essayent de soutirer plus d'argent aux clients.
Petit déjeuner bon et varié.
Disliked Le fait de ne pas avoir de magasin d'alimentation.
Peux d'animations, notamment pour les adolescents.
Tout est très cher.
Le buffet du soir n'est pas de très bonne qualité.
La longueur des fils pour le petit déjeuner.

Local attractions
A ferry ride away on the mainland is the ancient town and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Šibenik, set on the coast where the Krka river flows into the Adriatic Sea. Highlights include the fab 14th and 15-century Cathedral of St. James, as well as the four Šibenik fortresses with their views over the city, sea and nearby islands.
The resort team arranges day trips from the island to Adriatic destinations like the Kornati Islands, famed for their wildlife and dolphins, or to the Krka National Park along the along the Krka river, known for its seven spectacular waterfalls.
