This simple and laidback site is on the riverbank about five minutes’ drive from the centre of Pirenópolis, so you’ll be able to select city days or peaceful country chillout time depending on how you feel at the time.
Stick around on site and you’ll be able to take a dip in the river, snooze in the shade of the trees or take a short stroll to some waterfalls before cooking up an alfresco dinner at the barbecue area. Kids, dogs and groups are all welcome, and there are handy facilities including toilets and showers on site. It’s not part of the site but it’s still good to know that there’s a brewery over the road with a bar selling its own beers.
Head into the city instead and you’ll be able to pick up food in the shops, find places to eat and browse other shops for things like crafts and souvenirs. There are also museums to visit, historic buildings to admire and various activity centres that can organise things like hikes in the local area.
