Hidden gem
Non-electric hardstanding and grass trailer tent pitch
Liked We loved everything about the site. It's a hidden gem!
Such a peaceful site. The pitch we had hardstanding with a grass part to the right of us it was perfect for our roof tent.. The view of the pond was beautiful. The facilities was clean and well looked after. The owners was lovely and really friendly. We're all ready looking at coming back again soon.

Non-electric hardstanding and grass trailer tent pitch
Liked We only stayed for one night sadly but will be returning.
We were met by Kelly & Darren’s mum on arrival as they were away for the weekend and she couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. Communication prior to visit was excellent and very responsive.
The pitches are huge, facilities excellent and throw in a hen or 2 roaming around freely and you will find your heaven in this secluded space.
The kitchen area has everything you need, and everything you may have forgotten 🙂.
Make sure you close your tent as the hens don’t understand personal space which is hilarious when you walk past seeing people ushering them out 🤣. The alpacas were happily doing their thing in their field.
A great deal of effort has gone into the planning and ethics of this site it ticked every box for us and look forward to future developments.
Location was perfect for us to get to Liverpool.
Disliked Only staying for one night!

Liked Lovely friendly owners, beautiful well kept small site. Brilliant shared kitchen, such a good idea. We were able to make our toddlers lunch while we put up our tent.
Also couldn’t forget the free range chickens and alpacas!
We are only local and booked to test out our tent but will definitely will be back, felt like we could have been anywhere.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (large)
Liked Kelly and Darren had amazing communication leading up to our stay, especially with us emailing to edit our booking a few times. The site was easy to find and well signposted. On site, there was everything you needed. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked, plenty of cooking amenities, additional equipment, and even some games.
Non specific to the site, but as someone with dietary needs it was slightly more difficult than anticipated to find somewhere to eat locally without visiting a chain restaurant. We settled on The Red Lion and the food was lovely.

Liked We absolutely loved our stay at this campsite. The amenities were excellent and we had everything we needed and more. The site even provided a BBQ for a small rental fee supplied with coals and fire lighters. The kitchen facilities were great and had lots of extras that could be used and returned for those things you may have forgotten to bring. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

A lovely little set up and we would love to go back again.

Liked A lovely little set up. First time we’ve taken our children camping and I’m so glad we chose this site. It was calm, quiet and chilled. The Area to pitch was more that big enough. The whole site was clearly well maintained and set up nicely with barked drive way, fenced and lit up pitches. Showers were very clean and a lovely little area to wash the dishes and access to other necessities that you may forget when camping. We biked off into Flint and found the mountain bike trails. We also drove into Rhyl and Talacre.
Our favourite part was buying the worms to feed the chickens in the morning and getting visits from the chickens on our pitch.
We also though this well managed and clean site was very good value for money when we were looking where to camp in comparison to others we looked at.
Disliked It wasn’t a problem but the ground was very hard so take appropriate pegs but there were also some available in the room already mentioned. But we didn’t realise until afterwards.

From the manager: Thanks for your kind comments, glad you had a great stay. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and website and hope to see you again some time when and if we are allowed to open again.. fingers crossed for our planning. PS we are putting a lot more topsoil in next week with new seed for next year to keep the drainage for the pitch... sods law its been the driest EVER season, but had it have been the wettest the drainage would have been a life saver, but hoping to get a bit more cushioning.
